Methodology for Android
V3 is a nice update, the interface is much improved and the useful features of the old version are all still there, plus some good additions such as bobs & singles, infinitely variable ringing speed and a bell circle display. An invaluable app for all method ringers.
Samsung S5. Believed that is being looked at. Since that is what I loved and used most in previous version, definitely hoping it gets fixed.
Deffo recomended if ya wanna learn methods quick, anytime, anywhere. Be good if the sound in the method player sounded more realistic cos it sounds like some of the saucepans in my kitchen.
Good for learning, hearing and looking at methods but the creating methods is too confusing. Can't you just write the order of the bells??
I would LOVE it if a high score system was added. Longest you can go without mistakes? Just an idea.
A vast UNimprovement over the old version
Versatile

Nice new layout but less functionality for me on Galaxy S6 as the when I launch the player it crashes
Best thing since sliced bread. Please please do it for the iPad I could then have it on both.
Brilliant app, so useful in many ways, and now the new version allows me to look at the pattern of two bells, eg 3-4, for handbell ringing! Very stable - never had a problem.
Great version upgrade and an important tool to have
Like the new interface but would prefer larger menu icons popping up at top of screen as the smallish ones are close and overlay main phone status icons. After upgrade the icon associated with previous version of Methodology was deleted and had to be manually restored to home screen. Would have beeen nice if the swipe left/right to switch between the four screen modes had been kept.
Have been using V2 for some time and found it very helpful, even discover how to use it on my new Samsung phone when I upgraded recently. Not too sure about V3, seems a bit cumbersome having to access a menu to change screens instead of swiping side to side. Maybe I'll get used to it in time. Haven't seen an option to edit, is that still available. PS I see in the download information states that Method Editor is not currently available.
Can practice anywhere even have had the oldies having a go. Had to beg for my phone back as they liked it so much on a tower grab day outing
This new version is much better. The ringing speed was always too slow before, now it can be made super fast! The only things I'd like to see added are ringing spliced and putting in bobs and singles manually, if it had that I wouldn't need to use Mobel.
Can not access 'method libary' on my phone so can not use app.....waste of time downloading.
Really useful to practice a method on the train at lunch or during practice while sitting out and preparing
As a leaner I find this app invaluable when learning and practising methods. One small enhancement for me would to be able to show lines at hand stroke and back stroke in a slightly different colour. That way at a glance you could see what stroke dodges or leads should be.
I use this app all the time to refresh my memory on a particular method. Its also very good for learning new methods, where you can trace out the blue line. Very easy to use, Thank you for producing this very useful app.
Brilliant. Any chance of Plain Hunt too, please? "Original"? OK, but I don't think learners would have known that. Rgds.
Great
It's much easier to have all the methods on my phone than having to remember a little book. I have also found interesting methods like Tom Baker Bob :)
Really handy to be able to look up and learn methods while away from the tower. Also helpful on practice night. I find the bobs and single diagrams are confusing and I have not understood them yet
I cannot download any of the methods on my Samsung galaxy pro tablet. Just get a blank screen.
Brilliant
I have an HTC Wildfire. Navigation too subtle. Perhaps needs a navigation screen in settings. Can't seem to find out how to put a method in my methods from library or find grandsire doubles or plain hunt.
Can't fault this incredibly useful and free too :-D
Works flawlessly on the galaxy note , I love this app. Thank you
Excellent after the update - once I'd worked out how to access the method library. The only suggestion that I'd make is to have a selection of methods installed - say the same as the old red 'Diagrams' to begin with and then let the punter customise the methods - it took quite a bit of headscratching to install all the methods I wanted.
Finally found the library! Very confusing to get it though. Now I know where it is app looks good again. Not 5* until I've had proper look though but better than my previous 1*. Will help with my ringing later
Top notch app for ringers. Also, very good dev. Responded to mail in 24hrs and published a fix in 3 days. 10 & 12 bell methods will make this a 5* app
Much improved! Let's see some of the standard 12 bell methods and the cyclic 6 maximus.
Love it!
ICS Update has fixed the method selection bug (luckily I was on my favoured number of bells when I updated to ICS so not particularly affected) and added/improved so much more! Glad to see the addition of Plain Hunt as this app is obviously of great use to novices just starting out and need all the practice they can get, even on the simple methods. The list just goes on and on now, if I could learn half of these I would be pleased. Great app, and for free, thanks for all the hard work that has gone in to this (any whingers should try and write their own!). I wish we'd had this sort of thing 20 years ago when I was starting for the first time, I might have continued further and been half decent by now.
It's great to be able to refer to the Bobs and Singles.
Given the system reaction time tendency to be a tadge slow back & hand, but much clearer than the diary. Will be using as a teaching aid. Well done & thanks.
Really useful for learning methods and easier to carry around than any of my books.
Good if you're learning a new method, but it needs technical attention with the programming of the app. I was most puzzled when a single was called in Kent treble bob minor.

Would be nice to be able to vary the pitch of the bells in Method Player by specifying which key the ring is in. They are a bit shrill at the moment.
