Tesco Mobile for Android
Great app, very helpful except for no detail re additional charges. When I took out my husbands contract 12 months ago, the Tesco guy told me this was being addressed....... Still waiting! Otherwise would have been 5 stars.
It's OK and tells you how much data is left. Note the data bug: it accurately shows total data with progress that stays at the same fraction even after adding a data bundle eg you've used .75 of your total so you buy more data; progress bar stays at .75 even after restarting app. Not properly tested
Absolutely love this app. Never had a problem with it. Each month let's me know with my Tariff charges, what I've used, like my usage payments, device payment, got my safety buffer on ect. What could possibly go wrong. A huge thanks to Tesco this app l would be lost without it.l use this app on my Motorola ******
Doesn't update. All seemed fine until i got a message telling me i had nearly used all my buffer yet app showed i had loads to spare. Hasn't changed since then. 2 days after my new month start it still shows my old total. Seems totally unreliable.
Good app. Seems to update usage quickly. It doesn't show when I've paid one-off payment before due date. Which I have mentioned before. So you never know what you actually owe or if you are in credit. Really Big letdown and very poor customer service.
Update: want to see data usage by day as is possible with apps from competitors. Want to buy extra data via app but can't see how to. Installed app shortly after received phone and it worked OK but once I ported my old number, the app wouldn't update usage so appeared to be useless. Reinstallation of the app solved the problem but the app should cope with changes to number.
Well, it is 12.12 AM SUNDAY 9TH OCTOBER, but the app has still not reset itself to zero. If I use any new data, it will be charged onto my current bill, as Tesco can't be bothered to install technology to differentiate, what data is used and when.
Clear and concise summary of acct Easy to see usage get bills and see extra charges. Just works which is great. One star less because where the first page summary shows extra charge it doesn't allow you to drill immediately into the detail. fix that and it would be give stars from me.
I'm in India on holiday and have a buffer, I paid it off to call home, I paid it off again, and now I can't ring home. My mum had a hospital appointment I'm so angry. I can't ring the helpline as the number isn't recognised. My bill is 0.00 so what's the problem? My mum is in her 70's and doesn't have the internet only a landline. So angry
Worked until 7 hours b4 refresh time, its 2 days after refresh date now and no change. Still on same time/date as 7 hours b4 . Tesco fix this problem please. It's useless as is. Wow just refreshed, lets hope it continues. Thanks Tesco.
Really simple app that gives me everything I need. Tells me all about my account and usage. Every tesco mobile customer should use this, but it needs the ability to pay bills through it instead of having to go online.
Useless except for seing what youve used. I want to top up my data . Have spent over half hour and got nowhere but spent £2 on my card. Where has that gone I wonder?
Not much good for anything! Im told I'm hitting data limit. I'm even told I can increase bundle via app!! If I can it's so well hidden that I've used more data going round in flipping circles to find it!! Waste of time, frustrating and results in total dissatisfaction at what otherwise is a great mobile provider!
This tells you how many minutes, text, data units you have left. It runs with a bar graph that fill up to your limit telling you how much you have used. Basic but could not do without it. Also tells you when the usage resets date and time given
I have deformed hands due to Arthritis' there are times I have difficulty when it comes to typing some numbers or letters sometimes I have to keep pressing the digits untill they work....if my wife tries to do it for me it drives her nuts. Other than that I like the app it's great being able to keep a eye on your bill
Despite being a pay monthly customer for years, since my upgrade it now says app is for pay monthly customers only??? The PAYG app says I'm a pay monthly customer??? Would like a fix please. Update. I see this hasn't changed since June. Same error messages, still no fix and still no response. Thanks a lot
Would have scored it higher if I had known that there was a side menu. I am not tech brilliant, just a normal person, but a hint would be nice either a tag or icon within the home page to access other menus. Reading other reviews maybe that's why it's being reviewed as BASIC!
The only reason I downloaded this was to be able to add extra data if I needed to. All this does is show you what you have left. I KNOW I HAVE NO DATA LEFT BECAUSE I HAVE AN ALERT TELLING ME I AM APPROACHING MY LIMIT. When I try to look at my tariff all I get is an 'error connecting to servers' message.
Does not work. It kept telling me I don't have a contract phone to use the pay as you go app which say I not a pay as you go customer to use the pay monthly app. Great for me because if I not pay monthly contract or pay as you go then they not getting money from me and I cancelled the direct debit. If they sort this and recent issue suggest that they won't then and only then will I have them money.
I got a text telling me that my data was almost out but when I went to use the app like it told me to, to buy more data it doesn't let me or tell me how to. Broken app never get thus it is useless
All i wanted to do was add a one off bundle but after one and a quarter hours going around in circles i give up!!! Whats the point of this app if you cant do that? It should show usage, exras then add!!!!!!!!! It doesnt even allow chat! Suggests phoning but electronic list doesnt allow for adding bundles! What flipping year is this????
App needs a direct link to Tesco Phone Shop. Payments need to be able to be made within the app. Good for seeing data and phone usage. Also for purchasing additional bundles. Never get any feedback from the application makers. Hence 4 stars. Tesco Mobile are falling behind other competitors now regards to data offering and prices. Have been with them since they started on the O2 network but time for a change now due to bad value for money.
I have to give it one star at the moment due to the fact that it isn't displaying my bill, but someone else's, which is ridiculous as this is my number. I'm just getting ticked off because I can't check my bill
Terrible!!! Wanted to change my safety buffer but have forgot my username and password, I eventually got my username emailed to me, then to get my password reset I had to enter my username and security question which keeps coming up as wrong answer. I think I know the name of the only primary school I ever attended!!!! Still don't have the information that I require!!!!
I used to use the app to track usage across the 3 mobiles used in my family. Following a recent tablet restore, the app is now demanding that I turn on Data to register, but my tablet is WIFI only. It used to work perfectly!
It's basic but it does give useful information. The main screen states that it shows what's remaining for the month but actually it shows what has been used, which is less useful. And a link to Tesco Mobile web site would be very useful.
Very limited functionality. Can't check bill details or set up alerts for a second phone on the account. Safety buffer function - doesn't tell you that you can't set it to zero! What you're actually doing is removing it and activating a default buffer of £50!
I dont understand the point of this app? I have the o2 app and I can do so much on it like pay my bill, check allowences and contact o2. The tesco app is so ridiculously basic I dont understand why they have one?! Dont bother to download its a waste of time!
Wont let me join on account of me being a pay as you go customer. I have had a pay monthly account for over 2 years and have never been pay as you go. Useless **edit** just noticed that this problem goes back months and its not fixed seen other users with the same problem over 6 months ago . Do you even read these ?
Thought was good, but although I was constantly checking my data usage abroad, and it seemed ok- out of the blue- I had used up my whole buffer! Didn't realise it was days out of date, or could have bought more data- like today, I notice it says 'last updated 6/8/17' - and this is the 10th! Not good enough.
I need it to show what I have used. It shows last month as well as this and this and is totally confusing. I have been charge for a call, what call? I know I will check the tariff button. Does not give info on my tariff . Eg what number I can dial and what they cost. No valuable info there at all. Waste of time.
The app works fine when it comes to viewing your bill and allowances but there's not much else to it. It doesn't allow you to shop via the app which is a wasted opportunity as the tesco mobile website prompts you to download the app, what's the point if you can't shop! Also linking your club card should be much simpler.
The app when installed on my HTC One X, does not display the blue menu bar at the bottom of the screen. Consequently, I cannot use these features (e.g. cannot order extra data bundle using the application). The display of usage and notifications do work, which is the most useful feature.
Says my number is payg. Im actually a pay monthly customer so the app is useless to me. Bug? Poor user records? Either way NG no change to this bug! USELESS.
The app would not work on my new handset (supplied by Tesco), despite hours (literally) spent on online chat and phone calls to Tesco Mobile. The app said my number was a PAYG number - despite the fact that it had been a pay monthly number with Tesco Mobile for nearly two years. The app worked well on my old handset without difficulties.

Developed by cowboys. After being charged for my safety buffer, i contacted customer services who told me it is up to 5 hours slower than real time! What is the use of such an app? This app could have been programmed better by school or college kids. Plus their text alerts told me i used up my safety buffer before i used up my allowance which is also fraudulent. After being with tesco for many many years, either as a payg or pm customer, i can say i will not be coming back to them and will be warning every1
My ex wife fell back in love with me after she found out I installed this app. My children have since performed better in school, from C's to B's and my cat and dog get along better. Thank you Tesco for sponsoring me and my wife's 2nd wedding.

Why cant I see what these extra charges that keep appearing on my bill are for. This leaves customer feeling they are being ripped off and very pissed off as they have no way of checking their bill. I dont mind paying for what I use I just like to know i've had what I pay for. Iys like a bank saying you cant have a statement. Come on and improve yout company image it cant be that hard.
