The Telegraph - Live News for Android
It constantly says your offline when your not, forcing the app to stop reconnect the app. Other than that it's good. That bug though needs to be fixed quickly.
Never refreshes the news. Says I'm always offline.
Prone to stopping and also forgetting I have a subscription. Tablet must be restarted to get it back.
This is 1 of the worst propaganda news source there is, its PRO TORIES
Most of the good stuff you have to pay to read.
Good way to know news from global politician and stantard to change
No depth of content just an upsell. Not free
Stop it with the Fake News... Guardain for the Poeple Telegraph for the upper class & the Industries
Why would I want to subscribe to an app that keeps telling me I'm offline when I'm not?
Full of premium content which you have to pay for.
Doesn't even let me open articles... just spins
Always says offline, never loads articles
I like it
It’s a nice app with good content but not of the quality that should be expected from the Telegraph. Three main gripes are: You keep getting notifications about new content and there seems to be no way to turn them off. If I want to read it then I’ll choose when, having to keep dismissing notifications is a pain. I am a print subscriber with free access to the so called premium content but the app randomly forgets this and asks me to confirm my login. You don’t need to enter more data just press the button the get the app to ask the server to let it the whole of the article. Why? Lastly if occasionally forgets login details and the only way to clear this error is to zap the app data and cache and start again. A good idea with good content but rubbish attention to detail.
Tried it for about a month on my note 4 and was impressed with (even subscribed). However it doesn't work on my s8... it always says it's offline (even though I'm not), and it always asking me to login and not accepting my login details. To get over this I have to uninstall and reinstall the app. However after doing this every day for the past week, I'm now about to uninstall it for the last time. Which is a shame really as I'm happy to pay for a decent newspaper app.
I've had enough. Sorry, uninstalling. It has gone worse and worse since introduction of offline reading. Plus now only premium articles are allowed. Even if I'm subscribed it wouldn't allow me in. Extremely disappointed
Too many big images means too much scrolling. Why can't I re-order the sections? Worse: it keeps telling me I'm not a subscriber and can't read premium content, even though I am, and I'm logged in!
Seeing as we now have to pay to read most articles, it would be good to see some app improvements. Disappointing that previous feedback by users doesn't seem to be listened to. For example, offline reading, adjusting notifications, widget etc. 1 benefit of the app is it is loads much faster than the website, hence 3 stars.
As with several other users, I am a fully paid digital subscriber, but keep being denied Premium access, even when logged in. Come on Telegraph, pull your socks up, life is stressful enough without having this extra hassle. Please fix it ASAP
Awful interface. Headlines often link to the wrong articles. Often forgets premium status.
I receive news notifications. However, when opening the alert I'm constantly told I'm offline; rather non sequitur and more than a bit annoying. I was thinking of upgrading to premium but with this and the other reviews I may hold off.
Good app easy to use. Improvements I'd suggest would be ability for screen to rotate (its portrait only) and ability to reorder the topics so your favorites come up first.
Rubbish. It will not allow me to login so my subscription is totally wasted. The online help does not recognize my email address. The subscription help desk is no help at all.
Now it has been updated it constantly thinks the app is offline when it isn't. Also keeps forgetting I'm a Premium Subscriber so I can't read many of the articles. Rather unhelpfully it suggests logging in online via telegraph.co.uk but there doesn't seem to be a dedicated subscriber's page anymore.
The app is pretty slick and easy to use, although extremely basic. No search facility, and worst of all, no bookmarking. Virtually all other news apps I use have at least one of those features.
Almost permantly stuck in offline mode. When you do get access even though logged in it won't let you access any premium content!
Too many bugs. Doesn't update properly. Always logs me out as premium subscriber then can't log back in again
Buggy. Most frustrating one is that loading an article from a notification means the app does not pick up that I have a subscription through Play Store. I have to close the app, reopen it and navigate to the article for it to load 'premium content'. No comments section is frustrating as is lack of precaching of articles - especially those the app considers worthy of a notification...
Sends me notificatations about stories, yet when I follow the link article doesn't download or synch and tells me that I'm offline when I am not. Waste of time. Also no comments section, what a shame.
Needs comments section. Offline/online and sync needs some work. Otherwise great base for which to build on.
Good
Amazing and updated
Have this app going to keeping it
Awful app. I've had enough of it quite frankly. It constantly tells me I'm 'offline' despite me clearly being online. It fails to refresh when I log onto the internet and brings up the offline caption again. I love reading the Telegraph but not on here. It needs major work to eliminate these glitches.
Rubbish. Constantly having problems with premium content, even though I'm a subscriber. The latest is that most photos accompanying an article aren't downloaded - but of course the advertisements are. Headlines sometimes link to a different article. How come the Guardian's is such a user-friendly experience and I don't even need to subscribe? Extremely frustrating app to use.
Keeps telling me I'm in offline mode and I have to shut it down and open it again to get out of it. Does not allow me to veiw comments on articles or add my own comments. Doesn't have a bar on the side of the screen to tell me how far through the article I am. You would much better using it online
Every time it updates (which is too often) it forgets I am a Premium subscriber. Logging out and in doesn't help. I have to uninstall and re-install the app, which means resetting my preferences. Content is good.
When used on a phone, this app can't handle transitions from Wi-Fi to mobile internet. It regularly reports that the user is offline and doesn't update. I have to forcefully stop the app to get it to work again. Please also add a timestamp to indicate the time of last successful update.
I'm fed up with Guardian Labour bias so thought I'd try an alternative. This app is not it though, far to much scrolling to find the stories worth reading with big pictures in the way, it tells me I'm offline when I'm not, there's no search button and no way to reorder the sections.

Thought I would try app again. Offline reading still do not work well. Hyperlinks take you browser and not to app. Cannot recommend this .
