Kids Countdown Timer

Love this app. Gives a countdown to my 3 year old without the distraction of a hidden image and with a more immediate sense that time is passing. I would give this app five stars if it allowed up to 30 minutes as a timer, let you set your own alarm sound separate from that programmed on your phone's settings, and the option to keep the screen on for my child to watch the time pass without my intervention. So, if those aren't issues for you, this is definitely a 5 star app.

I have a 3 year old son that's said to have ADHD.. autism spectrum disorder and obsessive compulsive.. It's been.. Trying to say the least struggling with his attitude temper and outbursts.. Until now.. I was recommended a book called 123 magic and it's amazing!! I needed a timer that would get his attention to distract from negative behavior and this is the best!! My only suggestion is that there be different alerts when time is up to choose from since the one in the app isn't really noticeable.

My kids love this app. It's a great distractor. They go from impatiently whining to quiet and still as they watch it countdown.

Concept is nice but you can't set the timer past 10 minutes.

Timer only goes to 10 minutes. Give the option of up to 30 minutes for 5 stars.

I need an option to change the colours.

It would be nice if the timer went above 10 minutes. Also, having the same tone as my regular notifications made this timer impracical to use.

Having the time broken into ten second intervals is great! The two enhancements I'd love to see are 1) an option to kid-proof the pause and reset buttons. And 2) an option to select a different sound than my regular notifications.

We love the visuals of this app. Really clear conceptulisation of the passage of time. We would love to use this for meal times as we have a slow eater but need a 30 minute option to do so. Adding longer times would lead to 5 stars from us.

My daughter loves her "polkadot timer" when eating meals. It helps her manage her time and makes it easier to get things done in the morning and evening. My only suggestion would be to increase the time intervals to go as high as 15 maybe 20 mins.

It clearly shows the time passing. And unlike other similar apps, it doesn't show hidden images that actually distracts my kids instead of having them do the task required. Good job!

My kids love it. I give them a two minute warning at bedtime, and put the timer on. Virtually no arguments when the alarm sounds.

Would be five stars if it had a "keep screen on" option. I usually want to leave it on for my kid to be able to check as they work on some task.

But would love it to go up to 20 mins in 1 min increments.

This is a lifesaver!! It's the only countdown timer that actually works for our 4-year-old. She can visually see the circles going away and we make it a game - however many dots are left is how many points she gets.

We just used it and told her, "as soon as the circles are gone it's time for bed". She rushed through bedtime routine and once the timer was up went right to bed! I can see several more uses for this! Thank you and great app!
