DroidSeer is a Home Automation App for Android.
***NOTE: Have just discovered that if you run HomeSeer as a service on your PC, it doesn't seem to run ASP Scripts and therefore will not work with Droidseer. This is a problem with Homeseer and I am looking into a fix. Do not run Homeseer as a service and it works fine.***
It is a remote control for the popular HomeSeer application for the PC and requires HomeSeer V2.x to work. This uses the build in HomeSeer web interface and DOES NOT require any additional expensive plugins like HSTouch.
Once configured you will be able to control any device that is linked into your HomeSeer system and also read status devices such as Thermostats and display their values on your Android device.
Droidseer is designed to be simple to use and will allow you to manage your home from anywhere where you can get an internet connection.
The latest version has been optimised for higher resolution devices such as tablets. It will also run on any Android phone running 2.1 or above. The app has now also been tested with Android 4.X ICS/JB and works without any problems.
Before using please read the userguide which is available to download from the website as it explains how to set up both HomeSeer and DroidSeer to work with each other.

Droidseer works great when connected in the LAN. However when on a WAN some days Droidseer will work, but other days it crashes on opening. Neither the provider IP address, nor the the port address, nor the Homeseer server address changes. One day it works, next day it crashes. But integrates well with Homeseer when in homes wifi network. I'm using HS2.

I did everything the instructions say and it won't connect to Homeseer as the server. Sent an email for support and 4 days later still no reply. No refund either. Karma dude. It's coming.

A total waste of time and effort. I can access my Homeseer anywhere around the world with a laptop. I thought I would try this app, all I get is a blank screen when started. Needless to say, requested refund.

Great app. Works Perfect and fast. If you get a force close, it is because you are not connected correctly to your server. Make sure your login and password and port is correct. Connect with local WiFi first for testing. Great update, looking forward to the next one.

Not sure if this app is ICS ready or if I have other issues; it will force closes on both my Galaxy Nexus and Asus TF300T if I try to do anything. Might be useful if it would work and could actually pull info from HomeSeer instead of having to manually configure each device in the DroidSeer app. Would also be nice if it had 'test connection' options and some better instructions. I am going back to the free HomeSeer program.

Running 2.0 on HTC Wildfire. Have been running HomeSeer for 10 years, this is the the best remote control facility I've found. Top marks. App handles all possible homeseer codes A1 to Z99 not just the P16 X10 code limit. My phone has no ^ or so cant use those codes (bit of logic in HS to map Zxx codes to ^xx codes sorted that out) Doesn't throw errors on invalid codes (say zz256) but gracefully continues if you try to use any. Excellent work.

After contacting the developer several months ago about this version not working with 5.0 and a later model phone, no fixes or updates. So I guess I just rented the program when I thought I was buying it. Even if the Play Store says it is compatible does not mean it will work on your phone.
