I recently decided to try to add a bit if character recognition to my spoken vocabulary and this game has been great. Plenty of repetition for those who have never been exposed to the characters and the pinyin is great. It is also good for some very basic vocabulary.

I want to study Chinese culture and language at university next year and this app is brilliant! I downloaded it on my computer and its so good that I've just added it to my phone. Now when I apply to University I will at least have a basic knowledge of Chinese language, so thankyou!

Very good game to learn Chinese characters. Very entertaining. A few typing mistakes unfortunately. In the transport category, quite a few vowels missing in the pinyin. In fact it might be that all the vowels with the third tone are missing. The scrolling of the new words at the beginning is extremely slow. It takes ages until we can see the 3 words or so. Very annoying when you already know for example two of the words and you quickly want to see which word is the last one.

I noticed that sometimes the sound doesn't match the word that pops up. For example, when it's supposed to be saying "yin liao" it says "hong jiu." I also think some of the English translations sre somewhat misleading, like "soft drink" for "yin liao," which can refer to any kind of drink, whereas "qi shui" would be more fitting. You also need to shoot ahead of your target, FYI.

Great way to learn Chinese while getting rid of your daily frustrations. Shoot tiny bubbles with characters and advance as you improve on your language skills. The developer has been extremely responsive to fix any bugs. What language to learn next after Mandarin is in bag...?
