McGill's buses m-tickets for Android
It's a good app. It does crash quite a lot. But I haven't had any problems till now. This new 'update'? The QR code thing? There isn't an update showing on my phone..?
Every time I scan the reader gives a weird beep and tells the driver ticket has already been used apparently. Happens with day, weekly and monthly tickets. Constantly arguing that it's clearly a valid ticket.
Some days it works fine, but other days I find it take a while to load and can crash 2-3 times before loading your ticket. Which isn't great when the bus is pulling up to let you on.
Please update as getting questioned to why ive not got the updated 1 even though my ticket is valid. Not had any problems apart from update
I am now questioned everytime I get on a bus with my valid ticket as to why I have no barcode on the app? Please update this.
Got on to McGills customer services. Log out of app and back in again, the qr code appeared for me.
Your app is a piss-poor excuse. The fact that your developers can't even be arsed to answer to user's comments and complaints speak for itself. It works barely OK if you are on wifi. But you are not when you are waiting on the bus ON THE F*CKING STREET, ARE YOU?? I've even bothered starting the app on my galaxy S7 having the bloody e-ticket ready and it crashed again. Also, train your drivers about the app, since they seem not to understand issues associated with technology more complicated than an abacus
Worked fine at first but when i try to buy a new a new ticket it just repeatedly says there is nothing in my basket.
Works great
App worked great for about a month, then it died. It permanently tells me there's 2 tickets & when I try to checkout, it says there's nthing in my basket. I live in the middle of nowhere & this was so handy for when I didn't remember to take out cash- saved a half an hour walk. PLEASE FIX!!!
This app worked great for two weeks. Now however, it won't get past the welcome screen. Paid £60 for a monthly ticket and now having to pay daily anyway. Should be avoided until major work is done.
I have Samsung Galaxy S6 and this app has crashed at the most inconvenient times resulting in some angry comments from drivers. When it works it's very handy.
I've given up on this as it was constantly crashing on me and due to me having to keep reopening it and keeping it open when it loads I've now used up all of my mobile data two weeks before my refresh.
This app would be great if it actually worked. I can add a ticket to buy but when I go to select payment type I get an an error "object line not selected". Hope they fix it soon. Until then I will uninstall.
Can't see how you can go wrong with this app, buying tickets is a doddle. Presumably the slight bugs will be ironed out. It's all good, the zone maps are great.
I would not recommend as i have had missed a few buses now because od the app crashing. I get it ready to get on the bus and then crashes when i get on it so i cant show anything to the bus driver . It constantly crashes
No day ticket option for adults. I checked this app months ago and it boggles my mind that they still haven't included such a service as day tickets for adults.
Disappointing. I tried to purchase a ticket few times. Used PayPal and registered bank card and both times get errors and doesn't allow me to purchase ticket. App is pointless if it can't do that. Sony Xperia E4g
Doesn't work ! Says I don't have an Internet connection when I do, I've downloaded updates for other apps while I'm out and listen to music.
Use this app all the time but tends to keep crashing on my android lg g4
Watch out if you get a new phone because if you reinstall the app all purchased and active tickets disappear you have to email McGill's to get it back
This is overall a fab app.I have a few issues. I have an HTC desire 610 it randomly closes app on a daily basis, problem with that is anxiety when it does it when I'm getting on bus.
Paypal redirect gets stuck in a processing page. Galaxy s7 edge.
It's OK if you want to purchase Go-Zone tickets. However if you want to buy a single or return, then it's useless.
terrible just like their hit and miss service.
Let me buy my disabled ticket and I'll be able to use it
Really easy to use, never had any issues with it
Performance improvements necessary, as I had to randomly log in to my account, which I was unable to do so, as my email was somehow unrecognized, wich also leads to the fact, that I could not get to my downloaded tickets offline.
Error 103 installing due to app not coded correctly for compatability, please fix
Keeps freezing and crashing all the time.
App has some faults that need to be rectified ASAP, I was refused to use the bus service due to an error in wording (different from the Word used in office?) Which resulted in being late for my children. Drivers attitude also Needs to change absolutely ridiculous. STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP
It's basically a digital zone card and for me that's disappointing I don't travel that often enough to warrant putting down 18 let alone 60. I would of rather liked if I could of booked my tickets for a day :/ but only kids have that option really disappointing and a shame. You're pricing your self out of people who might otherwise use the app if they needed to travel that day. Trying to live a cashless life but still needing to have cash for buses is depressing but not giving me the option to pay for a day ticket means I'll be uninstalling till you fix this
Generally the app is easy enough to work, and is much easier than having a monthly paper ticket that's easy to issue. But the app seems to crash loads on my android! Has anyone else had problems?
It couldn't be more simple to use. Search for your GoZone and go though the checkout and your ticket is set up. Very easy!!
Really easy to use. No worries about losing ticket. I was up and running within five mins. Love it
it was simple to add details have not bought m- ticket yet will get back and tell how that went ,04/04/16 well I got 4 week ticket and it is working fine no problems so far
Make view ticket offline not always needing wifi or data
Great app, really easy to use. Better than always having to have change to hand.
very easy to use and input details. first ticket purchased within 5 minutes of downloading the app.

My purchased ticket can be a bit slow to load up for scanning (on full signal 4G) but other than that, I've found the app to be easy to use and does exactly what I need. I live nowhere near a cash machine, and I'm glad I no longer have to panic about whether I have money in my purse to get a bus ticket!
