LBC Podcasts

I really like LBC and the podcasts. Unfortunately the app is one of the worst around. It crashes and closes often. If a download fails then you can't attempt to download the same podcast again for some reason. For a commercial organisation this app is very poor indeed. Update: App is now working again...

I reported this app to Google insisting they remove it from the play store. This is the only way I can see LBC actually noticing is android customers and fixing it's app. Register a complaint too as lbc just ignore the comments here and emails though their website

Podcasts are great, app is the worst ever! Signing in is impossible on a new device. Constant loop .. sign in, you are signed in, listen to presenter, signup or sign in for subscription, already signed in, sign in, wrong password, sent to email, nothing there, wasting my life. Fast forwarding, rewinding, returning to point, listening for more than an hour, forget it. Volume loss on phone notification and having to reload extremely annoying. Worst app I have and all my others are free. SHOCKINGLY BAD

So great being able to hear LBC and James O Brian. However, as several other people have reported, this app frequently crashes. Additionally, often (actually, almost every time I use the app- seems to tally with when something else happens on phone, eg I have a power warning, or receive a message) the podcast goes extremely quiet and I struggle to hear it. Takes quite a faff to reload the podcast, with no guarantee of being able to hear it. Such a shame these glitches are not being addressed.

When registering it propagated my password into first and last name fields and crashed when clicking on presenters podcast. Needs a good look at before I'll bother using again. Great shame

Probably the worst app I have ever used. Navigation is tricky and switching off more so. You can't halt and start from the place you left. The web player is excellent so use that and keep the clutter off your phone.

First app i rated without even trying it. This app has been getting aweful ratings forever and LBC have done nothing to improve things. Such a pity. If it was likely to work i would pay the money. Stay well clear!!

I've had this app for years on the iPhone and it's fine. But the Android version is awful. If it crashes when downloading a podcast, which is often, forget it, you can't try again????? WTF? I may as well not have the subscription because I miss two thirds of the downloads

Attention when the app goes quite when you get a notification, if you press pause and play it will come back on at full volume. Stops playing randomly, and loses where I was up to in a podcast, crashes randomly, won't let me download at times, needs a go to bottom when going through podcasts, save me having to scroll my way through 4 years of podcasts, needs a widget in the notification panel, and a sleep option

This App is rubbish. If I try to download a show, and for some reason it doesn't work it won't let me try again. If I get a text alert our similar while listening it changes the volume of my podcast. If I try to fast forward to a point in a show it restarts the whole podcast. Many many many other problems. As a subscription payer I expect better. The content is superb, this App is a shoddy disgrace.

Doesn't run in background very well... Editing out of adverts is rubbish (sounds like my old mix tapes from when I was 10) I don't think I'll be paying for another month

Enjoy the podcasts, when they work. Downloads are awkward and required because streaming will randomly cut off, crashes and glitches all over the place.

This app is truly appalling. Usability is nigh on impossible, controlling the content you're listening to is non existent with the scroll bar to move through the podcast just disappearing from inside the app. No bar across the top of the phone indicating that the app is playing. Only way I find to kill the sound is to force close the app. I can go on... Huge shame, LBC make great content, but if this is the only way to listen to catch up, then I'm seriously considering stopping my new subscription, I just can't do what I want.

You say you've fixed it but you haven't!!! I've paid a months subscription only to find hardly any of the pod casts will download, download failed on 90% of attempts and then you cannot re try the download - terrible!!!!

Buggy. Playback stops all the time even if a podcast is downloaded through the app. Downloaded files are not readable by other playback apps either. People are paying for this. Make the app stable and reliable or ensure that downloaded files are playable in other players.

Great content... James O'Brien sharp as usual. Genuinely the worst application I've ever used though. C'mon guys put some money into having a working app for customers.

Awful. Buttons don't functon correctly. Account shows as in active. Can't believe people would pay for this.

Need to get James O'Brien show up on service quicker. I don't want to wait until tomorrow when stories might be out of date. App poorly designed

Soooooo many failed downloads and once the download fails you cannot attempt to download again. Please fix LBC!!!

Cannot login. I have reset password and tried logging in with new password twice but not able to. Automated reset gives me a different user name than my email and when I try this is does not recognise it. Unuseable app. I have already downloaded podcast but cannot listen to it. Very badly untested app.

Nick Abbott is great, this app is appalling, honestly could list 20 serious problems, basically everything, my latest issue is my username is not between 5 and 10 characters, it accepted a longer one and now won't let me change it, I need to change it to resubscribe, this is the second time it's done this, I've already had to set up another email to re register as only way to change username, now I have to make a third email to subscribe again. App just needs scrapping and started from scratch, awfully awfully terrible app, really quite a joke!

Probably the most amateurish app on my phone. I could put at least a dozen tickets in their bug tracker (probably isn't one) after ten minutes of smoke testing, which obviously no devs bothered to do. Maddening.

Whenever I get a notification the apps volume goes down to about half and nothing I do will bring the volume back up.. Only fix is to restart the app until the next notification comes through.... Really annoying.

Only want to keep some podcasts on my phone but the app won't allow this, it keeps insisting I keep signing in, won't download. Will just stick to the radio

Simply doesn't work. Cannot login to subscribe. Stuck in endless login loop. Lbc must be loosing millions in lost potential subscriptions.

There is an LBC Podcast feedback website for everyone to tell them directly how terrible this app is. Just Google LBC Podcast Feedback.

LBC is excellent but this app isn't! Impossible to download successfully once failed, please fix the bug

I'm going to cancel podcast keeps stopping and now it's saying I need to update subscription when it's automatic. I can't even do this I've got in contact but no reply and that was 3 days ago

crashes so often that it pointless using it,instead i now access podcasts via lbc website which does not crash

If there is an issue with download there is no way to resume/retry download.

Unbelievable bad, seems like someone was really tired when this app was being made, needs major work ASAP

Even after complaining no one has fixed this app and lbc keep promoting it. Its total rubbish.

I used this app to listen to Katie Hopkins but now she has gone I don't bother.

This app is broken. Everytime when I tried to play podcast, it crashed down with playing a single word.

And obviously LBC don't give a toss either.

No good as all about paying, advert makes it sound like the podcasts are free

I use the app on a regular basis but constant crashing (at least 1 per day), inability to download a show want a corruption occurs, unsure where all the data files are kept (even corrupt ones which if partially stored will consume space) leads me to mark this App 2 star. P'haps folks should call the show with the lead the Britain's conversation question on "Should LBC fix LBC's APP?"

Too many bugs in one small app. How is that possible?
