About SampSize
SampSize is an application to assist in the design of clinical trials by calculating the sample size using inputs provided by the user.
Features calculations for:
- Normal and binary endpoints
- Parallel and crossover designs
- Superiority, Non-Inferiority, Equivalence, Bio-equivalence and Precision objectives
SampSize calculates either the required sample size for a desired power, or calculates the power of a trial for a given sample size. It allows users to specify inputs such as significance level, power, mean difference (or limit), standard deviation, and the allocation ratio.
Developed in collaboration with Dr Steven A Julious, Medical Statistics Group, School of Health and Related Research, The University of Sheffield, UK.

The best and most accurate sample size estimation android app-- and it's free. Being in clinical research industry, I have experience of various softwares like SAS, PASS, STATA, etc. for sample size estimation. This application gives very accurate results given that you should know what you are doing and what you want to achieve. If you have clear understanding of your research designs, objective and parameters, then from my experience I can vouch that numbers given by this app will be very precise.

This appears to work OK. It would be greatly improved if the 'help' provided an explanation of the terms used and / or these were explained in a pop-up window

A nice app for doing a quick sample size check on the fly. Future improvements would be to add a range of values for a particular parameter and also some nice graphs showing, for example, n vs power.
