EE TV for Android
9 times out of 10 this app crashes when loading the programme guide immediately after starting it. If you do get in, watching anything is painful as it constantly rebuffers. You still cannot watch HD which means most of my recordings are useless here. Same issues on a Galaxy S5, S7 and Tab Pro.
About time the IT dept at ee learned how to do the job properly. Another upgrade that almost stops the app working. App takes ages to load the channels that actually work and when it does it keeps on buffering or goes back to loading for ages, locked out of some channels despite being able to receive them on the ee box. Lots of trouble with loading channels and it is now so slow. Why does the IT dept mess about with the app when it works ok, its obvious they dont know what they are doing or test the upgrade
Can't watch anything for more than 10 seconds at a time before buffering/loading screens. Took me 30 minutes to watch 5 mins of my recorded programme.....totally unfit for use
Good.. Fairly well laid out app, functional and what it does reasonably well. Bad.. Still no HD streaming to Android devices? It's not that hard - other platforms get it, so pull your finger out! Also was fiddly to connect to the EE TV box the first time, though restarting the box sorted that out. Not bad but apps from other TV providers are better. EDIT: Months of engineers 'working on it' still no HD streaming, fed up of being treated like a 2nd rate citizen to iPhone users that enjoy this feature.
Ive tried downloading this app on my phone several times and each time i do. I have nothing but problems with my phone. It turns it self off all the time i unistall this app and my phones fine. I have fibre ee broadband but if i watch any thing on my phone it just buffers. Rubbish App.
I wasn't looking forward to using this app because of all the bad reviews. The app however has worked without a problem so far. Fingers crossed it stays like that. Only switched over to EE broadband and TV 2 days ago but so far so good. Galaxy S7 with Android 7.0 Nougat.
Runs for about 10 seconds and then stops working. Another useless development of EE. Having had their fibre broadband for 3 months I can testify that that is useless too. EE = Erroneous and Expendable. Can't wait to be out of contract with this shower of monkeys
Constantly crashing at start up. As soon as I tap a channel to watch it crashes, everytime. Please fix this. BT not bothered about their EE customers? I think it's time i moved on.
Such a great idea... But totally flawed. Often jumps back to start of programme, or just crashes completely. There is no such thing as useful help from EE. I only use this app because I am locked into a contract with ee. Come February 17 I'll be happy to leave them and enjoy freeview play. I would highly recommend this app to nobody!
After over a year and a half of using this app and waiting for updates to fix major issues I am unable to rate this any higher than 2 stars. The worst issue is playback of recorded programmes which is a major reason for using the app. The app will skip recordings to near the end or stop playback for no reason whatsoever! It's unusable for its intended purpose, only good for live TV which is what prevents me lowering to 1 star.
Have just started my eetv service but it stops working on my tablet before it barely starts, no help from IT so far. How can eetv consider itself a serious player if it can't rectify this kind of problem quickly, clearly I am not alone. Disappointed.
Bought eetv when it's was a new product to the market. Was really happy with all functions. Then the system seemed to do a update and it has no end of bugs and glitches. Cuts out when trying to connect after about 5 seconds. Technical support seem to be pretty clueless. Love the product WHEN IT'S WORKING.
BT, as new owners of EE, should scrap this as a bad job, sack the people who can't design an app that launches, lay off the people who declared we'd be able to download shows to our phones without securing the correct rights with producers and give their long suffering customers Youview boxes instead. What an utter, utter embarrassment this whole shambles has been.
Absolutely appalling. Cannot watch more than 3 to 4 seconds before buffering again. Have new Samsung phone and Lenovo tablet so they are not the problem. Can't believe I am stuck with this rubbish. Wish I'd stayed with Sky
I used to like this app and gave it 4 stars. The last 2 updates have stopped it working on my hudl 2. I'm sure the new features are wonderful but just having the app work would be an improvement for me at present.
With the removal of TV to go (ie downloaded recordings) the app is pretty poor now. No HD streaming to Android and even on SD heaps of buffering on (ironically) an EE provided router. iPlayer does more, works better
Minus stars if available keeps stopping no more than 10 seconds after opening the app. Not good from EE they need to do better. Update has stopped it working on Hudl 2.
This app does exactly as it says on the tin. It's clear, clean and precise. No problems at all and no buffering. I think the only reason why some people are having problems with it is that their device is old, out of date or just a low end low quality piece of kit. I have tried it on my Samsung galaxy tabs2, S5, S6 and 2 Samsung galaxy tab 2, plus my wife's Huawei P8 lite. All work very well indeed. Maybe the best thing to buy would be a Samsung device, clearly they are the best technology on the market.
Since the last two updates this app (which used to run flawlessly) no longer works at all on my hudl 2. The app opens then a message appears saying unfortunately the EETV app stopped. This is every time I run the app.
Works on Moto g phone but fairly useless there as all my recordings are HD channels and therefore won't play. I understand it is possible to stream hd onto some android device s but my most up to date tablet on android 5.1 just crashes repeatedly a few seconds after getting to the home screen. No clues given to why. This is not the service I signed up and paid for on 18m contract. Not happy!
This app used go be great. Yeah it had some minor issues (pausing and then resuming a show would make it skip 10mins ahead etc), but now it is useless! I cant watch live TV, cant watch recorded shows, nothing! All I can use it for is an incredibly memory hungry tv guide.... FIX THIS ASAP!!
Tried this app. Works great without any flaws. I can't understand why people are giving poor review. Decent phone, decent network connection. I have no problems at all. Thanks.
What do you expect me to do? Record in HD for my TV and SD for my phone? Just like the MyEE app it's useless. EE's services are usually brilliant but the apps are always lacking.
It's great, when it works but keeps crashing . 1st Nov update. Won't start, send many crash reports, was a good app please fix. Ty
This app had for some time been working well, however it is not connecting reliably to the home TV when on mobile internet... For such a big company, the apps need some attention!!!
Only reason I got eetv was for this app. Worked fine but now don't work at all. I have a brand new lenovo tablet. And still don't work. EE SORT IT OUT FOR GOD SAKE
This was brill when I 1st got it but gone down hill, when I'm watching my recordings and I pause the programme when I press play it skips forward grrrrr and I get lots of buffering!!!! Unless this gets sorted I definitely won't be staying with ee for my TV and broadband!
For some reason my tablet failed to connect to my EE tv box with the message failed to connect. All software on my ASUS K010 are up to date.
Originally all was well but since updates has been pants and nothing but problems, refused to pair with TV, customer support no help at all. Now recordings to go have disappeared, loathed to call useless customer service. Don't get EE TV if you want to use with tablets etc, nothing but disappointing
Would not recommend this app because all it does is buffer all the time, I spend more time watching it buffer than what I do of what I wanna watch. Absolutely awful
New Update has rendered the App useless on all my devices. I can only see scheduled recording and programme guide. I can't actually watch anything....App is just as shite, spends most of the time buffering - Plus - App suddenly stops and hangs up the tablet until re-boot - Plus - Still hasnt fixed old problems PROPER SHITE = Sound and picture are often out of sync on mobile devices. Especially on recorded items, I end up pausing, then re buffering. Like others here, at the end of my 12month I'm off unless it improves.
Runs fine on iPhone and Android tablet but just crashes every time I try to load it on my HTC phone. Disappointing.
Rarely loads, constantly buffers. Allow at least twice the duration of the programme you want to watch to allow for the buffering delays. Never syncs voice and picture. Like 19th century technology.
Used to love it, until it stopped working now I cannot watch from a tablet or mobile, it was a massive selling point for me when I got ee tv. I'll be going to sky asap unless this is fixed
Buffering all the time it's worse than ITV player ever was! I now prefer to watch ITV player or iPlayer than watching through this app, it used to be much better but now it's extremely annoying if it is not sorted out soon sales in diazepam will soar!

Just got EE TV. I was looking forward to watching it on my Hudl2. No chance won't work. Not a happy bunny!!
Jeeps buffering every 7-8 seconds. Can't watch anything in peace at all. If there was such thing as a minus rating, I'd give that.
Despite several negative reviews, I'm happy to say this works well and as described. Set up was quick and easy with no glitches, it works really well, casting TV both ways, and even casting photos from my phone to the TV! A nice surprise feature.

Like a few other reviews, I get constant buffering when watching live or recoded tv on the app. It's fine on the TV box and broadband seems ok and have up to date samsung galaxy 5 phone. UPDATE buffering all sorted with power line adapters between router and TV box. However internet fluctuations still cause problems viewing live and recorded TV. Sometimes neither is available on my smart phone. This is an easy to use app with great features and design, just wish it was more consistent.
