Welcome to La Cachette, a fine dining restaurant serving modern European cuisine with a French influence.

Situated on Huddersfield Road in the centre of Elland, we aim to bring a touch of European flair to West Yorkshire and despite our name meaning ‘Hiding place’, we are anything but a secret – far too many people have discovered our excellent food and wines for us to be that.

Since we opened in 1996 we have built a reputation as one of the most popular places to eat in Halifax and the Huddersfield area.

The food flavours and inspirations are Britain, continental Europe as well as France and our restaurant has a rustic, Gallic ambience and relaxed elegance.

All our dishes are created in house and we are committed to using the best local and organic ingredients where possible while supporting independent suppliers.
