Drinkaware for Android
It didn't show me what I wanted to see but that's my fault, not the app. The app is beautifully designed, (love the tangible comparisons to running time / calories / burgers etc) and is super to use. Has made me really aware & already im thinking twice about reaching for the vino. Thanks
Downloaded this app to curb my calorie intake via alcohol. All good... Apart from asking me every morning at 9 am what I've drank that day is annoying and disconcerting. Please let me change when the notification shows and stop treating me like an alcoholic.
I would like to simply add drinks by abv or units stated on the bottle. It's clunky having to search for drinks that are not there. Otherwise good app that I've been using for more than a year. I think my consumption is reducing!
The latest update has spoilt it for me. I just don't understand it. Previously I knew instantly how I was doing, now I'm struggling . I'll give it a few more weeks if it doesn't improve it's out.
This app used to be brilliant. I used it everyday, still do to be fair. The latest update has however proved very disappointing. The blue graphs are poor compared to the previous multi coloured graphs
Definitely increases awareness of quantities drunk and gives you a target on your 'no drink days'. Just changed my phone but it's retained all of my history via my log in. Update for update: rating reduced to reflect new blue graphs, why lose the red, amber, green?
I'm still using this app after the latest update but only because i'm hoping the developers will change features back very quickly - including getting rid of the awful and almost useless blue charts
Re update - app is far, far less useful now. Blue graph is awful, no idea what it means anymore. Red/Green was much better. Also my graph is showing 2.8 units as higher than 8.7! The dotted line showing the low risk level is gone too. Other improvements needed: setting goals like 'drink one less on a Friday' (rather than all drinking days), or 'stay within the guidelines on a Sunday' (rather than all drinking days). Also, the ability to add custom drinks, where you can enter the abv and name.
I wanted to stop drinking completely but have never been able to manage more than 3/4 days before. With this app I'm already on day 8 and still going strong. It's easy to use and brilliantly effective in helping you to set and achieve goals. I'd highly recommend it.
The app is very good at keeping track of your units and other alcohol info but i dont like the way the weeks run from. It appears as if you've drunk more than you have.
Better if you could input alcohol percent and drink volume to save as your own drinks, I have brought 250ml bottles of beer and not been able to put these in, have to wait until I have two, then put it in as a 500ml bottle. If it was possible to do this it would well be worth 5 star and a really great app.
The blue barchart is absolutely pointless. Why oh why has some witless nerd changed it? Truly awful.
This app is simple and works. Like others, I don't understand latest update with blue graphs. Previous traffic light colours were easy to understand.
Shows me exactly the amount of units and calories I'm taking in. Gave me a shake up when I realised that one week I had consumed an extra days worth of calories in alcohol alone! Love that it tells me how long I would need to run to work off the calories in each drink!
(I havent done the recent complained about update yet) Good basic app that helped me monitor and reduce alcohol my consumption. I only drink low and no alcohol drinks now! A little buggy at times but not enough to stop me using it. Thanks developers for improving my health!
Was my app of the year for 2016 until the December update, which now renders it totally useless. How a group of developers could possible think that removing the traffic light measurements for a single blue line was an improvement, I'll never know. Such a great shame as was a really useful app that made a difference.
I still find this a really useful tracking app, but why change from red/green to blue? Makes no sense.
Great way to track what you are drinking. Some days more shocking than others!! Like that it also tells you calorie intake, cost etc...
Why on earth does the app insist on such a limited range of branded beer? It will never be able to keep up with the ever-expanding market. Couldn't we just enter the ABV and be done with it?
Easy to use but update with blue bars not great. Green, orange and red bars were much more meaningful. Picture shows 2 sets of blue bars presumably showing last week's compared to this week but that's not happening on app.
Turns a negative experience into a fun challenge when you can properly track your progress. Self management is now easier and less of an emotional drain for me
Really don't like the new blue daily update graph. The old red amber green warning was far more useful
No problem with the app so far. User friendly interface, can use for any tracking propose (costs, units, calories, frequency) and easily customisable drinks (can put £0.01 for those freebies!) depending on your tastes. EDIT #1: Since update the graph colours are all blue! No difference between levels of consumption (green, amber, red). Doesn't give good indication of units as before. -1* for poor update. EDIT #2: Please add a few bramds of Mead
Nice and simple in some ways, but clunky in others. Also seems to freeze regularly for me.
What's with the blue graph levels now? Makes no sense any more. Otherwise a good app.
When I saw the equivalent in cheeseburgers I was drinking the calories of really brought it home how much weight I was gaining from drinking. I feel healthier after just one week!
Sooooooo flaky. Reminders and other notifications almost never work for me . I try to 'repeat goals' all the time but that never works. Once in a blue moon I'll get a random reminder then... nothing. Really poor app design /development I'm afraid.
The prices of drinks are terribly out of date, but you can adjust these yourself of you want a truer picture. Other than that i like this app - it's helped get a handle on the calories and money I'm sacrificing to wine!
Formerly Great, New update ruins the good work it did, reducing my alcohol consumption
I'm new to this app and wish I had downloaded it earlier. The info they give from the details you put in is great, along with the daily reminders. Only a week in but it's working for me.
Every time I enter data app crashes on Samsung Galaxy 7 edge running 6.01 android
Great app but can never find my brands of wine so not sure if calories are accurate which is a shame because that's really what I want to know
24 months in and find it really useful to keep track of my drinking. My doctor also thinks this is a great app.
Would be nice if had a freeform section to add abv and volume as often can't find a match.
Drinkaware is genuinely helping me to cut down on drinking, its also amazing to see how many calories I'm saving each day.
This new update is so bad it's driving me to drink.
It's simple to use, and tells you all the basics you need to know for tracking your drinks, effects on health and your wallet!
Would have given 4 stars until update which included retrospectively changing the guidelines
Utterly pointless if it doesn't sync with the main site.

Let's get real here anyone using this app has some concerns about theirunashamedly drinking habits. Me too. This is a great app if you are honest with yourself and log everything. It is impartial and shows you only what you have drank. The cost both finally and physically. I use it and it helps me from day to day to make goals and keep track of my consumption. Thank you.
