Do you live in a Genesis Housing Association home? Download the MyGenesis app!

The MyGenesis App lets our customers make rent and service charge payments, check their balance, update their contact details and ask us to do repairs. All without having to call our contact centre! Customers using the app regularly tell us it helps them stay on top of their rent payments and saves them time spent queueing on the phone.

Being able to keep track of how your account is running is really great, and now you can check your balance at any time of the day or night. And our new repairs logging form asks you easy questions to get the information we need to be able to send out the right repairman first time every time.

You can make payments to your rent and service charge account using your existing Allpay account or direct in the app using our secure credit/debit card payment processing. You can even save your card details so it takes even less time next time. We think paying through the app will save you time and you won't have to remember your Allpay login details. Once you're registered in the app you'll just need to use your chosen 4 digit pin.
To register, you'll need your payment reference, surname, date of birth and postcode of your Genesis property. Only named tenants and leaseholders can register. You can find your payment reference on your rent and service charge statement.

Note: we have had some customers tell us they get an "invalid customer" error when they try to register. If you get this error, it means at least one piece of the information you're providing doesn't quite match our system. It could be something as simple as a typing error at our end. Terrible. Did not get past registration. Called up Genesis who confirmed all details are correct. Still "invalid customer". And all that after I managed to put in my DOB which is not trivial. Had to click through every single month to arrive in 1976. Nearly 500 clicks! Clearly, this app has not been tested.

Also tells me i am an invalid customer when trying to register my details. My details are 100% correct and no information as to how to resolve. Very poor.

It wouldn't allow me to type in my date of birth manually. I had to manually swipe the calender dates, to previous years, then it said invalid customer! What a waste of time.

I have great issues with reporting an app .never recieve a job number never been a knowledged that repair has been recieved . this means I then have to ring call centre to read report it

I have to agree with previous reviews. This app has clearly been released without enough testing. I couldn't register with details asked for. App returned an 'invalid customer' error. Set the correct registration parameters and make sure that these are correctly communicated as there wasn't even a follow-up message to say who i should contact to resolve the issue. Pretty, poor release and not enough UAT!

After initial issues with the app ('Invalid customer' error) have been resolved, it all works fine. Looks nice and easy to use. Much better than old desktop site..

I had the same issue invalid customer.. why make an app that does not work its pointless. I did manage to get help from the digital team all good now..:)

I had a real problem with getting my account up and running on this Genesis App. I was advised to contact Genesis for help, I was very lucky to get Darren Singh to help me and he was in constant contact until I finally managed to get it sorted. All up and running now!! Thank you so much Darren Singh

This app is not yet ready for public use I think its still in design stage. Not properly tested before published. Useless!

Got a letter from genesis to apply for this app. CAN'T GET THROUGH THE FIRST HUDDLE . I register with my details and all I get is invalid user. I would suggest a change in the D.O.B interface. Can you not just type it in with the specific format you require. For those of us born earlier you just have to scrooooolll and then when u get invalid user you redo it again in the vain hope it works this time. Fix it please!

Really good for viewing rent account. But dont report a repair from the app takes days for a reply. Its quicker to email tweet or post a letter than raise it through the app. Also doesnt show you repairs or completed repairs

Already annoyed with this app and haven't even got into it yet. Like most other reviewers I'm getting an invalid user message - why release an app if customers have to contact a help desk to even get in it???. The most ridiculous part though is entering your date of birth - a monthly calendar pop up??? - to get to my month of birth I had to hit the back button 437 times!!! (& I know many older Genesis tennants than me). Plus I had to do this twice, as phone screen locking wipes info already entered!

This app crashes repeatedly and despite having an option for 'My Repairs' does not give a list of previously submitted repairs. I have no confidence that the repairs submitted in this app have actually been received by the service provider.

In now reporting a repair on this app for the second time after not receiving a response the first time. I can only assume it was because it wasn't recorded by the app correctly, especially after reading the comments

It has potential but it should have been trialled first. Repairs reporting is hit and miss, there is no direct confirmation from Kier and still one has to make direct communication with humans... watch this space.
