UK Aerial Alignment

Great app, but why change the layout, it was so simple to use now after 4 years it's all different. Change for changes sake is NOT progress. Also seems much less accurate especially for Sutton Coldfield, it's about 40 degrees off at all times.

The distance limit needs to be adjustable, I know that I can get an easily usable signal from Rumster Forest on a set top aerial although I live on the eastern outskirts of Inverness, yet it isn't on my list of transmitters (it is mostly a sea path).

Excellent for caravaners etc. use this every time we go away and have never had an issue getting a good signal with this app anywhere in the country.

A very easy to use and helpful app. I wasn't quite sure if the sensor calibration works from within the app or not though.

Very good. But how about showing the required baring in figures for those with devices don't have very accurate compass sensors.

I have to try moving the aerial

Updated to latest version today and now it does not start, and just says that it has stopped working. Hope you can sort soon to go back to give five stars.

Every time I start the app it tells me that my compass needs calibration even though it is correct. Also if I rotate my phone the aerial rotates with it. Surely that can't be correct.

The information contained herein is fine, but fails to understand about what happens when hills get in the way, for some of the app suggested transmitters I would need a thousand foot high Ariel......

My aerial is tuned to Ally Pally, but that doesn't even show up on my list or the map any more.

Best free app and as good as any compass app can be... Doesn't have the new groupings.... the LTE 4G band now uses the top of the old TV band and old aerial groupings have been replaced.... Check the CAI website for up to date info or call your local installer or you may end up with 4G related issues.

I downloaded the app and it was a little erratic on the calibration regarding phone position chris swiftly got back to me which was really nice and instructed me towards the calibration process and now this app works on absolute dream fully recommend it and thank you again chris

Since the update the aerial indicator points in the same direction for all transmitters. It was great before and I would have given it 5 stars.

Needs a few transmitter locations updating, because in rothwell, Leeds I can get signals from belmont but doesn't show here. Other than that great app!!!!

Lined the phone up against the new aerial that I was fitting in my loft. Made the adjustment until the graphic lined up. Retuned the BT YouView box and bingo freeview channels appeared where before there had been none :)

It's ok... As a hgv driver I use this app to locate my digi tv signal but noticed that the direction finder is a bit erratic even when standing outside with no magnetic influence! A tweak or two to the app/ phone g sensor interface would make it a perfect 5 star app

This is very effective on the whole, great if you are moving to an area where the transmitter is unknown to you, ie for caravanning etc. As a pointer it is very good but the strength meter is quite innacurate. Also, not up to date with transmitter polarities etc but as a diy app, very helpful.

I was stunned by the accuracy of this app. By guessing i was only around three inches out previously by my own judgment of ariel positioning of my new 4G filtered indoor digital ariel. Simply by turning it until all channels and HD channels were of a strong signal....But this app allowed me to tweak that to 100% perfection. Also amazing, is how it tells you other available transmitters and their strength and ideal position for your ariel to pick up on whatever transmitter in question. Absolutely five stars

A great utility especially for camping if using a portable TV and aerial. Enables you to quickly determine which direction to point your aerial.

Worked a treat when I was calling around the loft, we now have full signal strength and quality. Was able to choose transmitter easily.

Have tried all the options but still no TV channels

Installed to have a look. Will work for occasional use by campers etc but it's missing some local transmitters and channel information is incorrect on others. Should get your aerial pointing in right direction most of the time.

I wasn't sure how well this would work, but wow I was amazed, lined up my aerial in the loft and now get 100% signal quality.

Waste of time. Gives completely numerous directions dependent where you stand. It has literally got me going in circles. One minute it is suggesting one direction. The next another 90 degrees different. No consistency. It has maintained the same transmitter but does not know its direction consistently.

If I open the app on both my mobile and my tablet they both show the same details, local transmitter Winter Hill, the bearing, distance etc are the same and the maps show the same position but the pointer on each device point in totally different directions, so not so good unless someone knows how to correct it.

Everytime the app opens from being closed completely, the aerial points in a different direction. Ended up just looking at the neighbors aerial.

Never written a review before as they always never exactly do what I want. THIS DOES and helped me get perfect reception with a cheap outdoor Arial !

I've been using this app for four years and it's always worked a treat in my locations.
