I find it really useful as not all food packaging has the traffic light system like they should, and this app helps by giving me the info I need to make healthier choices.

Even though the idea is great, the fact that products are compared by Serves instead of 100 gr. makes it difficult to compare without doing maths since each company has different serve weights

Scanned 1 item then stopped scanning. Have to uninstall and reinstall

Great application, works as it says, alternative healthier food options by brands. Hatsoff to the entire team !!!

I love this app. Would be great if could also highlight food additives with red, amber, green system.

Useless

I'm a junior Dr. I show patients/families this by zapping food items on their bedside. Even I'm shocked at how bad e.g. a pack of crackers are!! The visual reds highlight much better than a nagging Dr ;) The alternatives given makes switching easier! I tell people to zap their cupboard contents & make some swaps! One KEY update-please create a history/list/option to save items so people can use in shops. Also-give option to email/text alternatives. Till then screenshot alternatives!

Tried 6 items - 4 had the wrong information and 2 were unlisted. No big deal about unlisted items, the database will grow (although a third of items checked being unlisted does not bode well for future use). But if 100% of items listed that I tried have the wrong information, what use is the app? I emailed the developer with photos to give them the opportunity to update the entries 6 weeks ago - no response. If they can fix the incorrect entries & do something about the customer service I'll download again.

Not one thing has been on it Im checking. Uninstalling it.

Won't scan a thing on lg g3 I've tried loads of diffrent items and get nothing :(

It's great that we can help improve this app by photographing products u don't have on yet this is a massive help when trying to make better choices for my family xxx

Downloaded app after watching gadget show, tried it on 5 different products in my kitchen and not one scanned?

Keeps refocusing the camera but never scans anything

Tried 30 items but only found one that provided a recommendation but these were for the same item but different sizes. All others asked me to photograph which I did for the first item but then lost the will. May try again when it develops.

But most items are not on the data base

Went to download this app then saw it wants access to my directly called numbers. Why you have no need to access this.

Tried this and the first five items I scanned weren't in the database!

Great idea but most items I checked hadn't been logged. So I spent my time taking photos of these for FoodSwitch.

Both Foodswitch & Saltswitch are really useful - I can now pick the healthier options of my favourite foods, without the hassle of checking every label. What a time saver!

Just been diagnosed with diabetes and shopping is a nightmare so i will find this app a godsend.

Would recommend this to help with your healthy eating regime.

Be great if it did carbs as well

This app sounds great but doesn't work in practice - the viewfinder for the barcode scanner is far too dark to pick anything up. Not the lighting in the room - the regular camera app has no problems!

So much packaged food looks identical but with this app you can clearly see whats better for you. I thought I was making good fopd choices before but I realised thats not the case. I'll give this 5stars as the more different foods become available on the app.

Great App that lets you know what's in your food and if you could choose anything healthier - great idea and so easy to use!! Highly recommend for anyone that wants to eat better but not give up the foods they love :-)
