Grid Reference Free for Android
Great simple app. But is there any way to incorporate a share option so you can send location by email, text, etc to others when needed.
Great simple app. Very useful to me. I query the relevance of 10 digit references given the inherent accuracy of GPS, especially on this type of device.
Check your location is accurate on Google maps first before using the grid ref shown. It sometimes needs a moment to catch up. Great app otherwise.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD. This was used for my university field class and was constantly 70 by 30 metres inaccurate.
Gr8 app, in my testing the accuracy of this I found it to be spot on, this app could be amazing if one could share the grid reference and have the ability to send your grid reference to the emergency services
Grid ref it gave was way off. Grrrr
lod
You need a good signal and also the GPS to function. If you're lost in the mountains with no signal, it wont be much use. I have seen one app like this on the iphone that works without signal at all, now that's useful!
Fast and dead easy. Open app and within seconds have an OS grid ref and also a lat lon. Leave app open and these values change to reflect your position. App would be ten star and wonderful if it had a share button to submit present location and time to email or SMS text. Thanks for creating it
Works every time, have tried others with no joy, this is the best by far
Would be good if could tag and save location Name and data,or send by text, e mail
Used this loads while out camping on the fells. Just gives the grid reference which is all you need to confirm location. How reliable it is depends on your phone. Bit sketchy in the woods but never let's me down when hill-walking or on the moors. Brilliant app
Looks OK, and unlike your main competitor app it has a menu button that is accessible from devices without the Android navigation bar (e.g. Samsungs). However, the text is too small. This is going to be used outdoors, often in tricky light, so nice big text (like said competitor, which has the two letters on one line, then the two halves of the rest of the reference on two more lines, practically filling the screen) would help towards another star. Perhaps adding the compass would be a rip-off too far, but still welcome.
Does 8 figures, i.e., 10m accuracy. Simple and effective. Banner ad is unobtrusive cos there's no shortage of screen space. Shows GPS too but the font could be bigger.
Really useful. An improvement would be a refresh button so you can be sure you are looking at the right grid ref when on the move, but otherwise just perfect for my requirements.
Very good, quick and accurate, helps to locate yourself on an ordinance survey map and then take a bearing to an intended location and safety.
If you just want an app that gives you a 8 figure grid ref for your os map then this for you, it's just the job.
Does exactly what I expected, no frills grid refs, no problems
It got me out of a sticky situation. Easy to use and simple.
Easy to use, seems to be accurate. Have used in several locations and always had a result
How do I switch between 6, 8 and 10 figures ?
My tablet has the reference in very small type. But it does work.
An instant grid reference I find useful when out walking with friends who are poor navigators.
Simple to use. Great for finding sites in woods or moorland with few reference points.
Real confidence booster, work out your grid ref and check it with this :)
Gives accurate grid ref for anyone doing any outdoor work.
It's simple and quick. You need to have an OS map to hand.
How useful is this app!! Don't leave home without it (or an OS map!)
Always works,wherever I am
Good little app
Very simple very accurate very quick. Just what you need.
It does what it says on the tin. Simple, fast and effective.

Brilliant app, extremely accurate at finding your location. As good if not better than a handheld GPS! :)
Nice app, simple and works as expected
Simple, yet effective. Uses either GPS Wi-Fi, or data yo find an exact OS reference. Especially amazed with the accuracy. Perfect for a beginner, or expert cyclist, hiker, or map user. It literally has two pages, one reads the reference, and one has the setting of 4, 6, or 8 figure grid reference. Get it.
Works well. Simple to use
Seems to work ok on the few times I have used it so far
Good when it worked for aBout two weeks

the app itself is good to use and very user-friendly however, the GPS seems very inaccurate at 6 and 8 figures usually about 20metres off. idk maybe my phone's gps is no good
