Barclays Premier Rewards for Android
This app was great until the recent update. Now it's sluggish, unresponsive & keeps asking me to re-register when I open it. The new UI is clunky & trickier to navigate than the previous version. Please fix this FAST!!!!
Complete junk. Will not load. Just says Ineligible, must have data connection! !. If this is how barclays treat customers it's time I took my accounts elsewhere
New version is just slow and doesn't work. Ended up not being able to use my reward and had to pay in the shop. All because of a "fancy" new UI. How can I downgrade to the old version which works?
Since update it does not recognise me. I input dob and it enters the date before the date I entered. This app is currently broken. Premier Support team are offering no help. Needs an update!
This app worked fine until new version in Aug. could not put DOB in, would not recognise when I put in 11th kept putting 10th. Consequently I had to pay for my coffee. Phoned to complain of problem passed to couple of people who knew nothing & said we will have to get back to you, no hope there. Help me plus many others that are having same problem, Barclays get your act together for us Premier customers.
The update has totally buggered my phone. Every time I log on it asks me to register again and then says it doesn't recognise my customer details. Customer services are hopeless and in denial about there being a problem with the app when used on Android phones
The application is broken. Used to work. See all the other recent comments for what is wrong. Don't bother installing v5.0.0
An absolute disaster. Suffering from the same problems experienced by so many others reviewing this App. How could a company of Barclays standing allow such rubbish to be released. The good news is that I spoke with my Relationship Manager who sorted the problem in a matter of hours by giving me an activation code, which worked immediately. Apparently Barclays is aware of the date problem with the App and are working on a fix. Gave the App one star to start with but changed to two stars in the light of the fix.
Total junk - will not work on android phone - local branch advised that rewards are only available to one of the joint account holders!!subsequently advised by telephone banking that this info is incorrect - link they sent did not work - hopeless really but works OK on husbands iphone
Loading a little quicker but I just open it earlier. More importantly, favourites are saved so I don't have to hunt on each load anymore. Definite improvement
Should be no stars. At a Valeries to get my coffee opened the app to find the update has logged me out and it wont let me sign in. Reinstalled and still the same problem. Premier Banking. Does that mean embarrassing your customers Barclays!? Joke.
Awful app. Unable to register due to date error, the day is coming back 1 day short looks like because the date picker is returning days that start at zero not 1
This new version of the app now takes 20-30 seconds to load every single time you access it, including if you happen to switch briefly to another app. Very poor coding that urgently needs fixing. Not what you'd call an improved version of the app.
'Designed' with little thought to it actually being usable, just 'fancy'. Also, riddled with errors. Why do I need to scroll through umpteen years (yes, I'm nearly 60) instead of just putting in my birth date? And why do I have to put in the day after my birthday for it to accept my actual DOB (plain coding error)? And why can't I find details of which versions of Android it works with (apparently 'not compatible' with some of my devices). And how is it supposed to work for both people with joint accounts (the look-up function assumes just one account holder). I have to be my wife to use it! I could go on! Seriously not impressed. In my early days in IT I did a fair amount of system design & coding. If I'd come up with this, I'd have been sacked!
New version is full of bugs and does not work, one star is one star too many. Wake up Barclays, read reviews, it simply does not work. Bring back old version.
Rubbish. Old version worked well. Latest version takes ages to load and will not save my favourites. Come on Bar clays get it sorted.
Used it fine for 3 months. Updated a few days ago and is now asking me to reregister. Boring.
New app is very slow to display search request. The old one, apart from the year selection, was much better.

Rubbish software....cannot enter DOB needs to be day after you were born! Then will still not recognise you even after logging in ok on desktop site.....CRAPPPP!
Just installed at suggestion of Premier team - terrible on a S7 edge running 7.0, sluggish and unresponsive & can't search locally... Surprisingly bad.
It is very bad. Very slow and sometimes does not even open. People thought we are trying to get a coffee for free. It is rubbish and very embarrassing.
Doesn't work!!!! Customer services have also deserted me after 5 days of trying to help!
Keeps asking me to re register and when I try that I have no data connection. Poor standards when I need to use it
Won't accept correct DOB. I can see from reviews that this is an ongoing issue! Why hasn't it been fixed!
About is slow, unresponsive and doesn't load or takes a long time or load in maps. Can't really use the app

App doesn't work after the update. It just gets stuck on the loading page. Please fix asap.
Does not show all locations correctly, which causes embarrassment and delays when trying to use...

reduced to 1 star ... urgent fixes clearly required all was fine .. then they released 5.0.0 .... so its asks me to sign in again first time i run the new version (fair enough) but cant enter DOB it keeps jumping back 1 day from what I select. Cant get past the log in because of that I've tried fooling it by advancing 1 extra day etc... no joy such a serious bug on screen 1 the log in ... even if I could access it again I dread to think how bad it will be come on get it sorted I want to get using the rewards ... TIP 1: phone the telephone banking and ask for a physical discount cards e.g. gourmet reward and they will send you them ... not as nice as using the app but plastic does not crash or update itself over night leaving you locked out !!! TIP 2: you can print out the cinema reward from web site and take it along to join, very 'old fashioned' using paper! but at least you can access some of these things but with so much effort and forward planning
Very sluggish; favourites don't save and glitches when entering details (ie for football tickets draw)
The app was fab until it updated yesterday and now I can't log in anymore with it telling me my details are incorrect but they are correct.
App won't let me log on, it just keeps saying I need an internet connection regardless of whether I use my mobile data or wifi
Terrible. Buggy, crashes and sometimes forces a phone restart to resolve.
Works fine for me and I get a lovely free coffee every morning! Could do with a few more treats though Barclays! Maybe a free car? :-)
New version is crashing and freezing on Android.
Slow and keeps freezing, also keeps losing favourite settings, rubbish! Please fix it!

Complete rubbish. For registration the selected birth date entry needs to be one day after your actual birthday to be entered correctly. Also once I'd worked out the date problem it failed to register me despite having gone through web based registration successfully earlier that day. How does shite like this ever get released?
