The tuner automatically detects which note you are playing, based on what is the loudest/closest to your devices microphone. The gauge will then clearly indicate how sharp or flat you are compared to the automatically calculated reference frequency for the note, uniquely providing both instantaneous frequency as well as a value averaged over a few seconds.

Accord Chromatic Tuner uses the most advanced algorithms customized to give the most accurate, precise, and responsive tuning experience. It it also written to be efficient, so you don't need and expensive phone or tablet to be able to run it. The efficiency also means it has relatively low battery consumption.

Professional Users have access to all instruments, standard users are restricted to a subset.

As well as the main gauge, there are Rolling Average bar gauges for each note for the instrument.

Using our QuantumNote technology, these averages are calculated and kept automatically as you play. By default the average is calculated over up to the last 3 seconds of the particular note, with only very small durations of the note being required to add to the average.
