Fail Log: Habit Tracker for Android
Do you find yourself using Facebook or email more than you'd like? Or eating too much unhealthy food? Or smoking? Or doing other negative things? Fail Log can help.
The problem with lots of negative activities are that they have a small, short-term, repeated positive feedback. This is what can make them so addictive.
Fail Log allows you to quickly and easily make a record of when you give in to a negative habit. This associates a negative feedback with it, which will help you avoid doing it in the future.
Later you can use the app to analyse when you are most likely to fail (and then you can then take action at these times to avoid doing it).
★ See Success and Fails for an App which combines Success Log and Fail Log and lots of new features including a scoring system. ★
I like the concept but needs more individual stat analysis. It just lumps all failures together, not really telling me which im worse at.
This app is really simple & shows a heat map of the times when an event is logged.
However, this might get scary, to critique yourself. Like when you're playing Freddy's, are you more afraid of Chica or the work you're putting off? Hilarious concept -- if it works I will have to buy premium or donate.
Two thumbs skyward...!!! Many thanks for this beautiful app.. Suggestions: Once we record our items Successfully.. It automatically closes an entire app. Then again we need to go for comprehensive list to look on further check... Can u resolve this or can u fix it in coming update..???
I like the concept but needs more stats for analysis
Fantastic for changing behaviour
Yeah I know
Does exactly what it says. Very simple. No fluff and no permissions is great! Would give five stars if widget had different sizes and could log to specific habit rather than just opening the app.
LOVE! Password would be nice
Simple and effective. Great Dev! Would pay for a version with a simple widget that tracks weekly/daily progress.
Simple, easy to use, in the moment and visceral. Excellent to get awareness and to get proactive about bad habits.
Along with success log this is an excellent innovation for self analysis and very helpful when working towards improvement. Only improvement would be to bundle success & fail logs, not who suit like habit .. just sucess fail in a widget single widget.
With what tought is this app made? What were you guys thining? Just change the Name and colour of Success Log? Why? What kind of people use it?
What I needed.
Must have app!!!
Option to choose bad or good habit and add shortcut or widget please...
1: is there a way to edit? I misunderstood how to record some things and now my list is messy looking. 2: also due to my mistake it recorded something as a fail when I was actually accomplishing my goal. Would like to edit that as well.
Just a few suggestions: - perhaps adding longer term analysis (ie monthly and yearly trends) - sorting by date under the occurence view Awesome nonetheless!
Fantastic app, developer was quick to respond to my questions. A way to sync data between two phones would make this ideal. A MUST download app!!
wtf yo... the widget is not resetting to 0 on a new day. isn't it supposed to?! kinda defeats the purpose of DAILY tracking when it doesn't roll over to 0 on a new day! what's up with this?! deleting app & widget until this capability exists!
You can also add the number of failures of each failure in the main screen as u did the success log app. Thanks
Worked the first time I opened it. Now it just goes to the android market. Please fix!
Love it, trying to see how high I can get it, free version of tap log, nice
Good, simple idea
Simple, to the point. Works well. Would be nice to edit entries...
This app is fantastic. Beautiful and simple interface. No extra permissions. I would buy donate version.
Can you please change the times for occurrences to a 12-hour clock format or make that option available
Having this in conjunction with the success tracker provides a fun and effective way to improve yourself. It would be nice if you could assign a different value for each failure making some failures more serious than others. I love the app and will continue using it.
This is a nice little tool for monitoring your negative behaviors. Ultimately, I didn't find it that motivating, but I found the developer's other apps -- ToDo Log and Habit Streak -- to be extremely motivating. This one is definitely worth a try, and it's got an excellent interface that is clean and simple.
This app made me depressed withjust a few entries. I don't need an app for what I can do on my own.
Helpful to realize you are doing certain habits more often than you think. You can see grids for overall habits as well as each individual habit, too.
Does what is says... I need more than just looking at positives and negatives. Habit Factor is getting purchased tonight.
I like it, simple and to the point, makes u accountable. i have the success log, wish I had the option of putting it on the home screem too
How come the fail log wont keep track on the first screen like the success log does? Droidx
Great app. The user experience is awesome. Goes great alongside the success app
Very straightforward interface, easy to use. Records an event with two clicks from the widget, and you are right back on your home screen. Impressive reporting feature for such a simple app. Adding past events could be easier, but the intent of the app is to capture behavior in the moment.
