The OPAL Bugs Count app also includes a guide to common groups of invertebrates (bugs) found in the UK, including butterflies, beetles and hoverflies. You’ll discover interesting facts, identification tips and stunning photos of bugs from London’s Natural History Museum.

Has not been updated since 2014 and there are various layout issues on phones requiring horizontal scrolling to view the contents and menu. Feels like this app was abandoned.

I like the app, but it could be a lot better. The I'd guide tries to simplify things, but still assumes too much knowledge - many larvae have no legs or six legs so why would anyone know to choose it from the guide.

I have missed taking species photos due to app not connecting to GPS for location. Idea good, execution poor.

the description threw me off by highlighting the QUEST for BUGS and SUBMISSION Of PHOTOS. there are only 6 bugs on the quest and they seek no further photographs as they have a huge gallery. its encyclopedia if bugs virtual museum. a shame because I found this STAG BEETLE and had my Camera and oh well, maybe something closer to home may be interested. I'm uninstalling this let down.
