iRecord App for Android
Does what it says on the tin! This is the basis for all wildlife recording in the future I am sure, it will only get better from here on!
Very frustrating app. When I type species (bumblebees) it should show a list of images with their names next to it, not a list of Latin name. I have visual memory. No wonder I haven't input any info for one year. Why should I bother with this app if it wastes my time and frustrates me. The map is tiny, location on a map has to be set again and again and again with every single input. Year is set to 1970 and needs to be set with every single input. UX is an excellent deterrent for future use, it feels clunky, too many unnecessary steps. Uninstalled.
Enjoy contributing to species monitoring. Lets you add photo, location, date, rough number of species sighting. Saves which ones you've seen. Would be nice if helped identify like the ladybird version does.
If you know the species, group biological name then thats fine. If you dont then forget it. Would be better if it allowed you to put species, eg butterfly and go from there. But it doesnt
Used to love it. Now it won't go past the splash screen. Running android 7.1.2 on a nexus 5x. Hopefully gets fixed before the season really starts. Uninstalled and reinstalled but no joy.
Xp so dumb
It doesn't like my email so can't create an account
I love that this is a combined app for all my BRC apps I have for recording. Don't find it as easy and user friendly as say the mammal tracker app. Some work needed there. And also I have some records I want to delete but the swipe advice given in the help page doesn't seem to work..also it would be great if in the statistics page you were able to view the details of your previous records
I would like to learn what is in my yard. I don't know names of what I've seen as I can only refer to my visual memory. The are no picture references, no system, filters, how to narrow down list and at least provide some suggestions. Lastly, I cannot edit the entry which is frustrating.
I've been eagerly awaiting an iRecord app. Over all it is user friendly, quick and easy to submit records. But the map is far from ideal, a satellite view would be far more appropriate, it's impossible to give an accurate location; I have to get a grid reference elsewhere and paste it in for the location.
After a few teething problems, I am now using this app to record flora, fauna and fungi on a daily basis.
So much easier & more convenient than submitting records online. A great way to support wildlife recording.
Sadly Google Play tells me it is incompatible with both my Samsung S2 and my Samsung S3 phones running Android KitKat when I bring up the installation screen. A shame as I would have liked to use this app out in the field when recording. However, it does run successfully, and well, on my Google Nexus-10 tablet.
A very good cross species group wildlife recording app that loads records directly to iRecord. Highly recommended!

Hi, I'm unable to register or login it comes up with error message which says "yikes error" and won't let me change password or use my normal email address. I am using it in conjunction with the npms app, which I have been able to login to fine. Whether this affects it I don't know. Any idea?
