衛生福利部旗山醫院

旗山醫院創立於民國三十八年十一月，當時有鑒於旗山地處偏遠，鄰近醫療資源極為缺乏，為便利居民就醫，而在前高雄縣長黃劍棻等人的倡議下，設立該院的前身－「高雄縣立旗山醫院」。
後積極爭取美援，擴建院舍、充實設備，民國四十六年七月，改制為「臺灣省立高雄醫院旗山分院」；五十年九月，升格為「臺灣省立旗山醫院」；八十八年七月，改隸行政院衛生署；一百零二年7月配合行政院衛生署組織改造，本院正式改制更名為衛生福利部旗山醫院。 Qishan Hospital was founded in the Republic of November 30, eight years, then in view of the remoteness Qishan, very close to the lack of medical resources, to facilitate medical residents, and Kaohsiung County Magistrate Huang Jian Fen under the initiative of the former, who set up the hospital predecessor - "Kaohsiung County Qishan hospital."
