QuickMark Barcode Scanner

I don't typically write reviews, but I want all of you that are looking for a really good scanner to stop looking and just install this one. Scans just about any format, can save/send the history in .csv or .txt, can customize the scan window, can turn the light on or off. Ads are relatively unobtrusive. To the people at SimpleAct, well done, and thank you! Edit: only one problem: scan data with an 'E' followed by numbers is saved as an exponent when exporting in .csv format. I.e. '7E43' is saved as 7 with 43 zeroes. Minor problem; still love it.

Awesome app and scans barcodes super easily. Tried 3 others first that couldn't scan my barcode and this one scans it with EASE. I'll be keeping this one.

It's an all around great tool for working with QR codes. It reads and creates them, plus it integrates with other things.

Just bought it because it could quickly read every barcode I pointed it out without needing to fiddle around for ages getting it exactly lined up and having perfect lighting conditions.

I had the Symbian S60 version years ago and never had any trouble with it. This one is not only better, but the interface is nice and easy to use. Good.

Was one of the best QR readers I have used, but since a phone software update no longer runs!

This is the only code scanning app I have found that works reliably. Add to that the ability to create QR codes, and you have the only code scanning app you will need.

Works flawlessly, some nice bonus features not found in other scanners, but the interface is a bit ugly and could do with a refresh.

Unable capture the data matrix on my Logitech mouse

This uses to be a really good app! I have a Nexus 5X. Many third party camera apps were plagued by an upsidedown viewfinder, including this app. Most of the others have been fixed. Please fix!

One issue: my Nexus 4/5 never had a problem. However, my Pixel XL keeps freezing in camera scan mode. ??

It does its job greatly! The only problem is that it needs to have an option for scanning a QR code for a code that is already on your browser on your phone instead of having to do the work of screenshotting it.

I SEE NOTHING IN SETTINGS ABOUT REMOVING PUSH NOTIFICATIONS. 2 STARS UNTILL IT CHANGES OR THEY MAKE STOPPING PUSH NOTIFICATIONS MORE OBVIOUS AND EASIER TO ACCESS ......

I needed a barcode app and wanted maximum flexibility, like pulling codes from Web pages and NONE of the high-rated apps on Play seemed to be able to do this. Excuse me, but WTF? *No one* else can scan an arbitrary set of pixels whether live or stored? Really? Wow. Remembered using this before and BINGO! I can load images and pull from Web pages. *Automatic* purchase to support and remove ads. Shameful that others can't/won't provide this functionality, so 5 stars unless major FUBAR.

Does easily scan most types of barcode outhere. Occasionally has troubles, which may be related to the camera on your device...

I tried many QR readers before getting to this one. I have several devices running various versions of Android and this is the first to work across all my devices. The cameras on my devices are also of varying quality and the Quickmark reader just works.

I used to like using this app but now it says that my Samsung Galaxy S5 is not supported even though other users with an S5 are not having the same problem.

A fantastic application that I have been using through several models of phones now and that has just gotten better over time!

You need to read and/or update my contacts just to scan a lousy barcode??? Nonsense. Uninstalling!!!

This app does not work well with the talkback screenreader. Being able to use a barcode scanner to identify products I can't see is appealing, but this app wn't be it. It has a few buttons that I assume are controls, but they're unlabelled so no idea what they do. If the accessibility issues are fixed, I'll revisit it, but for now I'll go try out some other apps instead.

It is best on Qr than Barcode. Some Barcodes are reported inaccurately but on the whole, the quickest, easiest and best out there. I tried it on my old note 1, it works just as well as my S5.

Quickmark is my one and only app for everything QR and Barcode related, for both reading AND creating QR Codes! It has been on of few apps that I have continued keeping on every Android phone I have owned!

Very fast from scan to product description ,not a single conplantp

I bought it and no regrets .. It is able to quickly reliably scan and then parse correctly many QR and bar codes even if low quality printed or lighted that most of well known other scanning apps are not capable

After trying different scanner apps with disappointing results I finally found this one, fun, fast and easy to use.

This does everything I liked from other QR code readers, plus gives the option to share an image from my image gallery straight to the app. Sharing in is a function that is missing from most other QR readers. Thank you.

This QR scanning app simply works, and does what it's supposed to. I stick with it rather than all the others.

Every time I scan a code with flash light, the flash remains on even after exiting the app and none of the recording applications work.. Only thing I can do to shut the flashlight is to reboot my phone! Plz fix this and I may rate higher...

It can read a lot more than just qr :) I like Swiss knifes

I use this to scan barcodes and import the data into my application

Dwnld'd & used to scan 8 random items on my desk, 5of8 popular, recognized retailed items, cigs, sd card, spice container etc. None brought up any info, altho results page indicated all had been scanned prior, some several hundred times. Also very slow to initiate scan, 15-20 "pulses" before reading barcode. Guess I'm still looking for a scanner!

I think it is better than any other apps....

It does exactly what is supposed to do. I have no problems scanning any code, idenpendent of its size. Easy and quick to use.
