★為什麼要開發這個App？　這不是一個商業App，而是為了自己把英文單字記熟的App。
　　
　　我，1978年出生於英文很好的家族，家族中出了很多位英文老師，但是直到現在我的英文還是令人失望，雖然時時刻刻都想提升英文能力。
　　
　　2013年底，一個假日的早晨正在看 NBA Live 轉播，主播講評一位球員站上罰球線準備執行罰球，主播說出，對籃球員來說，罰球就是一個基本工，站在那邊沒有任何人推你擠你，如果這樣都投不進球就不能怪任何人，只能怪自己不努力！
　　
　　這段講評對我有如醍醐灌頂，"英文單字" 就像是籃球員的罰球，如果連基本的名詞都看不懂，基本的單字都看不懂，還談什麼閱讀呢？所以我下定決心要熟記 7000 單字。
　　
　　在書店買了好幾本單字書，厚度大約都超過3公分以上怎麼隨身攜帶？下載了好幾個英文單字相關 App 來使用，但是多是單調的列表式呈現，從 A 背到 Z 單字，感覺不熟的單字再自行標記，這並非我想要的背單字方式，於是我問我自己我到底想要一個什麼樣的工具來輔助我背英文單字？
　　
　　我想要一個 App，會一直問我單字，如果我答錯了，之後會再自動出現數次來提醒我，直到我很熟悉了這個單字。於是 "Ogeo英文單字大獎賽" 就這樣產生了，這不是要賣一個 App 而作的 App，而是想要一個 App 讓我可以熟記英文 7000 單字、一萬單字、甚至三萬單字而作的 App。
