STV Player

Pretty rubbish app but if you want to catch up on STV what choice do you have. ITV hub works great, why not use the same framework? As an amateur coder I feel like I could create something that worked better? Very disappointing, please fix this

I'm very disappointed with this app, it used to be Google but now constantly crashes making viewing experience a waste of time. Please fix for more stars and a much better review... Thanks

Cannot register as app cannot select dob easily. Have to scroll thru calendar for 45 years. Joke have not even tried app as hard to get access.

When trying to watch live or catch up through Chromecast it keeps crashing. Not got issue casting other apps. ITV hub works much better than this.

I haven't been able to watch anything with this app. Every time I try to watch something it says "oops there is a problem......"

Constant adverts and it doesn't resume where you have paused it. Terrible app compared to the competition.

Definitely needs some kind of cookie in case you fall asleep or your battery goes. I was made to watch TWENTY-FOUR adverts to see the final nine minutes of a show I missed the end of, most of them duplicates, every one without subtitles, so they were wasted on knee. Nobody want deaf customers?

For a major media company the features in the app are rubbish. When setting up an account, rather than having 3 wheels where you can quickly pick your date of birth, they gave a static calendar that meant I had to scroll each month. Given that I was born in 1974, that was a lot of swiping. Can't stream to my tv because when you click on the "Share with" icon, when you click on the "More"option it just fades out....AVOID THIS APP UNTIL IT IS ACTUALLY WORKING - P*SS POOR!!!

Needs too high bandwidth compared to ITV app. Shows don't play on tether, and live channels buffer every minute or so. Pile of rubbish.

App keeps saying there is a problem, fed up seeing james cosmo, come on stv get it right, i have not been able to watch a full program, will uninstall ad load in the bbc app.

This is they only app I seem to be having trouble using either it buffers or say oops something went wrong hardly ever works all other apps working fine just stv app which doesn't work

This is terrible... have to try at least three times before it works which means you have to watch fifteen adverts before a programme even starts .....

Pretty poor i downloaded this to use with Chromecast, but option to cast keeps disappearing and when it does work it keeps crashing

Without Chromecast this is a waste of time come on STV ITV has it why not you your service continues to be second rate. Can you give as date for chromecast rather than a blanket it is in development response Update another month on still no Chromecast therefore still a one star app Update just reinstalled as it said it now has Chromecast. However still no Chromecast therefore still only 1 star uninstalled!

Chromecast support good. But low quality content and too many adverts

Loads TV program fine but buffers on adverts so I spend about 5 mins when the adverts come on watching about 2 seconds of adverts then loads for 10 seconds over and over again till adverts are finished . So annoying

Why does scotland have to be so awkward. Why do you have to have 'stv' why cant you just leave it as itv? It would make life so much easier! And all of this scottish children in need rubbish. There is no need!

An earlier review posed a question you didn't answer directly: Why does ITV Hub have Chromecast & STV Player doesn't? Are you really not allowed to share resources? If not, why are you lagging behind?

This is so dumb why can't you just keep this in the itv hub but if your in Scotland have fun downloading another app just to watch a show
