Magical Dreamers for Android
I want more chapters I love this manga
I like the multilingual nature of this project but the application has some issues. Page turns cannot be accomplished by swiping, only by tapping. Sometimes though even taps will fail to advance the page. I tested this on my Transformer Prime (a Tegra3 tablet running Android 4.0) so I don't think the performance of the device was at fault. Conventional Android menus are not used. The menu is fixed at the top of the screen and cannot be hidden. There are no furigana in the Japanese text and there is no ability to copy the text or open it in a dictionary. This makes Japanese study for a native English speaker rather taxing. The pronunciation can be had from the Japanese audio for the page but there is no ability to seek through the audio. If you want to listen to the pronunciation of a word at the end of the page you must listen to the entire page's dialog again. The Japanese sound effects are drawn into the art and as such are still visible under their English counterparts when in English text mode. Overall I like the idea, even if the current presentation is a bit rough, and hope the developers will continue to improve the app.
Saw preview at panel at Anime north with the creator and voice actors from Japan. I'm promenade needed but it's still a good app.
