Live TV

Broken in latest update. No channel lists or live TV. Epg works but live TV page shows no channels.

Latest update killed the app. Now it crashes at startup. Refuses to load. Major fail. Old version works fine, new version refuses to load.

I use it to watch everything on my NAS remotely not just my WMC

I can play on my home network but can't play anywhere else. Can't play on lte can't play on others WiFi. Help would be appreciated.

Never worked, and honestly upset I ever paid for it. Make sure you don't pay for such rubbish either.

It works good, lots of options, great quality streaming on my tablet. The quality is actually much better than on tv to go from my local internet provider. Only downside is that it takes some time to configure everything to work, but instructions are easy to follow so with basic IT knowledge everyone should be able to do it. Great work!

I have been using the app for over a year with my Wmc pc while I travel every week. Way better than comcast devices. My Samsung note 2014 is a great addition to watch TV live or recorded. Before I used a Samsung note2 phone which was ok, but small.

I use it daily to watch recorded shows from Nexus 10, Razr Maxx HD, Razr Maxx and Nexus 7 devices. It works flawlessly on all of them. The developer is extremely responsive to emails, and enhances the product often based on feedback and suggestions. Awesome work.

Works great on most everything after tweaking the settings enough, except android devices. Does not work at all with my galaxy note 2. Freezes after about 20 seconds everytime on every type of media I try to stream to it.

Used to work fine, but hasn't worked for months now. Developers usually are very responsive, but lately have not been responding to help requests. 1: Live TV streams for about a 20 second and then quits. 2: Unreliable connection. Sitting on couch, "Server timed out" error... 20 min later (after making no changes) logs in instantly. Okay for a free app but too many problems. If you want something simple and reliable, then ante up and go with Plex for recorded media and Tablo for live tv streaming.

What PVR should we use with this on Win10? I have always been using Win Media Center and a couple network based tv tuners, so though I miss orbcast, This is actually a better live tv slinging/casting solution!

Decent app. Paid for the chromecast extension but can't get anything to load. Server is up to date and I can't figure it out.

It was great until you screwed up the server. All the apps want the latest server but none will connect to it. Nothing has changed but these updated versions and the server. If I install the old server it works fine but it keep telling me to update. FIX THE SERVER so it will connect again then I'll upgrade the stars. * another problem is the remote doesn't work and never has. Windows 7 64 bit. WMC. * how stupid having a tv streaming software stream to a TV. Just change the channel instead of the cromecast.

I have been using this on my tablets and phone. I am impressed with its continued capabilities. I am hoping that when Google releases the SDK for chromecast that this product will be able to stream to it, it would be a match made in heaven!

Needs work

Even though I think it could use a few minor UI improvements, and after using this app for awhile, I upgraded my rating to 5 stars. Takes a little tweaking to get it going good but worth the effort.

Had the app for a couple of days, tried it out and was not getting good results. After resetting everything on the network, ie routers, host computers etc and helpful feedback and suggestions from the developer, the app runs fairly well. I the main thing for android mini stick computer users such as myself, not to use the rewindable option. It seems to not like that options activated as the stream goes for about five seconds then comes to a halt. Without that option active I seem to get a descent stream. Still hiccups from time to time and I have a wishlist of things I would like for example a less modular interface. If it were a fully integrated program guide that overlays the video stream...this app would be 5 stars! Great work

Shortly after my last review where the chromecast wasn't working I downloaded the newest version of the chromecast app 1.9.6 which isn't in the market yet and tried streaming once more. It actually worked straight to the chromecast. I'm not sure what the problem was before but I am pleased!

Does not work. I setup a server, completely disabled firewalls, and setup port forwarding. Tested, and port forwarding was definitely working. But remote potato will not connect. Got it to work over lan, but if I am at home, I can just watch tv the old fashioned way. Waste of money. Port forwarding is setup correctly. Using latest verson of app and server. I would expect this hassle if it was free, but generally if you spend money on something, you expect it to work. Garbage!!!

I travel quite often and the Remote Media Center has allowed me to simply transfer my shows from my PC to my tablet. I know other apps work, but this makes the job very simple because it is so much like my Windows Media Center at home.

I have always been using Win Media Center and a couple network based tv tuners, so though I miss orbcast, This is actually a better live tv slinging/casting solution! With a Windows media center extendor I never have to worry about a livetv DRM copy protection, and my tuners are network based anyway, so it does puzzle me that I occasionally run into DRM issues with this app.

Works much better using MX player with hardware acceleration turned on. Too bad I have to pay to remove ads on both the player and this app...

Working on my new note 3. Had to turn off GPU hardware for transcoding on the server side and TV worked great. I used to use ORB, this works just fine as a replacement.

This app is absolutely amazing and everything works perfectly on my Samsung Galaxy S4!

The application has all of my desired requirements an, functions well, but the user interface is poor, which detracts from user experience.

I've been using this app for quite a while. I use it primarily to stream my own videos and do slideshows of pictures. The author has been great to work with and has been very responsive for feedback and suggestions. The user interface could use some improvements, but to be honest, that is really not all that important, how well it works is!

Updated review, after setting up 2 server settings, one local wifi - and one for remote, it works like a champ once again. STILL the best streaming app out there!

Great app from a great developer!!

Alot of issues streaming live TV to a 2nd gen Nexus 7. Starting is stream is pretty slow even with the newest beta build. I'm streaming from a i3-550 HTPC and HD Prime. Changing channels is a nightmare as it requires stopping/starting a new stream with frequent freezes and tying up tuners on the Prime even after I close the app. Compared to the InstaTV pro app the live streaming is really mediocre. THe other app allows instantaneously channel flipping with an easy channel guide. Insta TV pro is perfect for SD streaming but has issues with HD streaming. Disappointing considering the smoothness when streaming recorded TV shows.

Works well and developer is very responsive to fix bugs and add features.

Developers usually are very responsive, but lately have not been responding to help requests sent by email. Problem 1: Live TV streams for about a minute and then spits me back out to the "OK" screen (Classic won't open video at all). Problem 2: Constantly losing the network connection. When I try to reconnect it says "Fill in server and port settings" (they are already filled in). Now I can't connect to the server at al because all I get is the "Fill in server and port settings" message.
