- Music or videos may not play smoothly if multiple users are connected to Optical Smart Hub (device) through Mobile Smart Hub (app).
- Mobile Smart Hub (app) does not work when Optical Smart Hub (device) is connected to PC wirelessly using iSCSI. Disconnect iSCSI when you need to use Mobile Smart Hub (app).
- Mount USB storage to Optical Smart Hub (device) when you need to backup something from smartphones or tablets to ODD. Backup to ODD function needs buffer memory.
- Refer to Optical Smart Hub (device) user manual to find supported media codec.

Oh dear... device/app doesn't want to play DVD. Sinking feeling this is a lemon and probably will return it as I won't be waiting for Samsung to fix it. Also imo app demands unnecessary access to mobile device :-(

The functionality of this app is akin to something on a cheap Chinese media player from the early noughties. All you can do is view one photo at a time in the browser which is very frustrating. You can‘t download it from the file explorer. There are no thumnails either which makes browsing images tedious. Bridge mode does not function and the setup is overly complicated. I have several Android devices all of which are unable to display a DVD it just says ‘Unfortunately SmartHub has stopped‘ or words to that effect. However it can read DVD‘s with data and the backup mode to USB works okay, hence more than one Star. Samsung, please ensure an app works before you submit it. This functions like a Beta version that will never be finished and makes your company look second rate.

I have been using this hub almost daily for over a year, and it has been wonderful. however, since I updated my main tablet (nexus 10) to android 5.0, it no longer works, crashes when I try to play the dvd. I have contacted support and they say it's a problem with my tablet, but if i downgrade it works again. Same with my Nexus 7 2012 and 2013 tablets. Just doesn't work on 5.X

It seems to me that because the Optical Smart Hub is a few years old, four or five I think, Samsung are not interested any more. Shame they still sell them new.
