After several tries I learned how to get an "in the ball park" reading. Tip of finger on screen and first joint off screen but above bottom line of screen. Generally was within one fourth an inch of my length.

The app was as fun about the same amount of time it takes most of these kids writing reviews to get off. About 5seconds. Then I removed it...I made the finger the same size has my tool and it said I had a 20 something inch slong. At least it made me laugh
