About Audio Spectrum Analyzer
A simple spectrum analyzer showing the frequency spectrum of the sounds received from the microphone of your phone. I hammered out this app to try to find the source, and frequency of a "hum" in my house... did the job, so I'm happy...Hope you guys can use it too. I'll list some features next, but even if you don't get what some of them mean, you can still just have fun looking at what frequencies your fridge generates, or what frequency your boss makes when he is yelling...
Some features:
-Up to 48 KSamples of audio from your microphone = up to 24 Khz frequency spectrum bandwidth. (this baby can hear pitches higher than you can, assuming your phone microphone can detect audio at higher frequencies... seems like most phone microphones can)
-Adjustable sample rate to as low as 600 Samples / sec for very low frequency FFT.
-Automatic peek frequency detect with frequency readout of peak.
-Two cursors user can control
-Special trigger function to trigger on peaks between cursors. Trigger is unique: will stop sampling when desired triggered sample is obtained. But will show incoming data while waiting for trigger.
-Scrolling spectrum history. (The blue stuff on the bottom)
-Power spectrum (based on FFT ) and peak detect mode for better "contrast" between noise, and peak frequencies.
-play / pause button to freeze/resume data capture on screen. (also used to resume after trigger)
