About Flush - Crowdsourced Toilets

Flush is a fast and simple toilet finder. It has a slick interface with beautiful animations and transitions inspired by material design. The database of tens of thousands of public toilets is stored on the phone for fast and offline access! Search for a location as well as pan on the map and we'll show you the nearest public toilets to you. Tap on the map to get directions provided by Google Maps. Or if you just really need to find a toilet, tap the directions button and we'll give you directions to the closest toilet, no need to fiddle about with anything. The database is constantly expanding and we'll tell you whether there is a fee, whether you require a key and whether or not they provide disabled access if we know it.

This app save me from having a disaster. Night before I had a extra large donner kebab with extra hot chilli sauce I had chilli sauce on chips and chilli sauce on the salad the next morning I was ok, I was pottering in the town centre the next minute I needed the toilet desperately I've got this app out and boom Saved me

I am hesitating to rate wether or not this app deserves a five star. It would be nice if we could rate the toilets. Who are reviewing the reports?

D70%
by D####:

This app sucks. All the pics of the locations are inaccurate. Most of the places listed are for customers only. Good idea for an app but very poorly executed.

D70%
by D####:

Useless! It shows random houses as available public restrooms. What a joke!

Q70%
by Q####:

Why did you make it all white? You used to have good designs

Really useful application. Especially in New York City

D70%

It needs open hours for me to actually depend on this. Preferably a review portion too, so we could know how nice or not it was

by D####:

Would be nice to be able to long press the map to add new data at the location pressed.

A life saver.

D70%

Really good app. Could you also add an option to add a combination number as many toilets require a combination number to be entered before you can get access to the toilets ;)

D70%

User should be able to write review on every toilet

I guess for some people, having all the data available on your phone is a good thing. But for most of us, it's a big waste of space on our device, because we have internet access! When is my local data updated, like? Also, this can't be considered crowd sourced if there's no way to modify or delete an entry - like if a place was permanently closed. Much of the data is way out of date.

I just installed and looked close to my house before using on vacation. It missed 99% of public restrooms ands of the few it showed..totally wrong. It showed a Walmart miles from where it actually is. I don't know where it would take you but I'm not trusting in unfamiliar places. Be safe!

O70%
by O####:

Fairly good but many restrooms near me are not listed. Then I submitted two locations about 4 days ago and they did not show up in the app.

D70%
by D####:

It doesn't distinguish between the ones that are open right now and the ones that are closed. Also there are a lot that are missing, such as the 24 hour Kroger on Wirt and Westview in Houston.

D70%

Took me to a bathroom in literally 20 seconds, unusual an app actually does what it says!

D70%

It has worked fairly well, sometimes let down by the GPS.

It really works off line! I used this in New Zealand and my phone doesn't work there but this app worked great off line. What you had to do was start the day off with your phone on wifi. Open the app and make sure your GPS locator is on. Using the app map go over your day's route so it will be in then phone's history. You're good as gold. When you open the app far from home, the locator finds you on the map and gives you the information it has stored. It's magic. For app use where I live, I find it better than the other apps. While the other apps I have used rely heavily on familiar 'fast food' outlets as the sole location in an area, this app found lots of the free public ones, like parks and shopping centers. I also found it was real easy to add locations into the data base. So hopefully users can improve the knowledge base. Having used in extensively in New Zealand and around my home in the US, I was pleased with how many locations were in the data base. It even knew of bathrooms that were off the beaten track in rural NZ, even backcountry hiking areas. No app can know all the free and easy bathroom locations, but for me this did a better than fine job.

Cleanliness/convenience ratings would be great! Also missing LOTS of locations - been a few days and submissions are still not showing, so not sure how long it takes for those to go through? Titles could be better. Overall though, it'll get the job done if you really need it! Downloaded for travel purposes :)

M70%

Would give it 5 stars if I could correct my own additions or other people's. Other than that, it provides a good public service.

M70%

It wants me to turn off screen overlay. Why.

Need to add opening times option as some public toilets get locked at night, also a cleanness rating would be great too

Installed the app while sitting in McDonald's and apparently the nearest toilet is 3km away!

It's pretty useful when you need it - although I'd say there are still few things to add: - would be very handy to have some comments on the toilet, like if it's been recently closed (this not removed altogether, but in maintenance to possibly not consider it for now) or reopened - if there's a way to use existing Google Maps cache, that'd be awesome - meaning, if I already have a region cached in GoogleMaps App, I'd appreciate it displaying in Flush without extra preloading (that might be not an option due to technical limitations) - possibly some sort of local recommendations, like "in local establishments you will most probably be obliged to buy something to use a loo" or "in cafes and bars, you're usually welcome to use a toilet even not being a customer"
