Caravan Club UK Sites

It needs the ability to show only sites which are open on specific dates. I was looking for sites open in February but you can't stop it showing all sites, 95% of which were closed. The developers need to look at the filters used by the CamperContact app.

Lacking information and details of many CL sites. Also, there's no function to simply search by where you are presently looking at on the map. You're likely to get a better service from Google Maps!

Would be good if the app had details of costs etc. Still have to go to the main website to get that information even though there is clearly the intention of displaying prices. Unfortunately the main website is a pain to navigate with a tablet. Always have to revert to the main pc to look at any sites. Come on CC, this app isn't finished and missing critical information (for some of us anyway).

Just installed on my one plus one cyanogen android phone and nothing happens after selecting deny location and ticking the don't ask again option. Nothing happens when selecting the get started button or swiping. The siteseeker app (the competition ) works great though.

Limited to addresses in the limited database. However, even then it is useless. Searched on Brecon club site with radius of 100 miles. It should at least find the club sites at St David's, Freshwater East and Pandy ( only 27 miles away ) but found nothing.

I'm on a CL using free Wi-Fi and it"s easy to search for all types of sites. Both map and list view seem to work OK. Good app

Did work great but since last update not working right also crashing a lot

No matter where I am I can book trips away and at the click of a button I can see what I have booked already. Does what I need. Perfect

I agree with mick I find as much info and as easy to use as the Website if not better

Much better since update. Now finds location on my sony xperia z3 much faster.

Makes life easy

No advantage over the website really in fact I prefer that. Presented nicely but how about letting you search for sites that are open at the time of search. All very well telling me what is a certain distance away but only to find its another seasonal site. Addresses needed on the CL search as well, as their names are meaningless if searching for a certain area. Also can you add a search criteria that tells you if the wardens will be wearing shorts !!

Will only allow me to search for sites within 100 miles of my current location. I was considering going further than that. USELESS. The issue above has apparently been resolved. I cannot verify this as it now freezes on the welcome page and will not allow me to go any further. Very disappointing. Pleased to report that the problems I was experiencing have been fixed and running through the app I think it will be very useful. Have amended the review.

After nearly every occasion when 'View on map' has been used to view a site on Google maps (even after just one minute), the app restarts, so you have to enter all your search criteria afresh. Very tedious.

After fixing the fault in the update very quickly it's better than ever and in some ways better than using the main website

This app works well on my Sony mobile android 6 but on my Google pixel c tablet the search screen does not show the box to type a location, it defaults to a local search only.

Good to have bang up to date info on sites especially CLs. But you need to allow the app to be stored on the SD card

Can't give this app any more than 2 stars. There is little advantage of using the app over the website. Every time I open the app on wifi a warning triangle appears saying download failed. This is really annoying because if you open the app several times a triangle pops up every time and they often can't be cleared unless you restart the phone. Would expect better from the Caravan Club.

If you have a fast phone and enough free memory this is a great app. There needs to be a way of dumping the data to sd card and getting as more of the program data in to sd card ie photos etc. On an samsung s4 works pretty well. Only prob when app can't load database....then searches are useless.

Just downloaded it and tried various options out. Didn't initially want it as I thought it only included club sites which are too expensive for us but pleased to see CL's are on too. I like the fact that you can proceed to some sites websites or select their phone numbers and it dials them for you. Will give it other trials over a longer period but the only fault I can find is that the choice to refine your type of sites from the list given does not work but that is not an essential thing.

Constant download error/failed message that I can't remove from my notification bar. Sometimes opens and occasionally works. Issues also in zooming in on the map when It does work. Pretty naff on the whole. Now I've deleted it. I've left it for a few months and reinstalled hoping it would have improved. No such luck.

Will not accept town searches unless there is a site there. Enter ripon for example, no sites within 25 miles apparently. Tried uninstalling and reloading, only picks club sites. Also cannot save to sd card. Too many permissions sought, why photos for example?

Can't sign in to see my bookings or to book a campsite using a samsung S5 - the app just loops around to the homepage - Arrrgh!! - this app is made even worst when the developer doesn't response to email feed back!

After downloading the app it wouldn't run. Then after trying several times it finally worked. Managed to complete one booking. Now half way through searches it shuts down or I just get the spinning circle of doom and nothing happens. It has the potential of be so very useful. Running on galaxy s7

Good concept especially the map which is better than the key rival club's approach. Unfortunately on my (relatively recent) devices, it doesn't download data correctly, so not much use at the moment.

App did work great, now can't login. Read previous comments about Android update messing up app in February, but it looks like things still are not fixed. I have reinstalled but still no joy, really dissapointed

Only works on wifi now. I run on 4G but unable to connect. Can't change as there are no settings to fiddle with. Will have to book sites when at the pub now.

Have a Samsung S5 and fed up of these messages. Agree with other reviewers, post code facility would be useful. However until this app is considerably improved I won't be using it.

Considering the amount of money poured into the"Club" the app is consistently poor quality, almost as bad as the website which is awful. So much room for improvement. It needs a complete overhaul. Unfortunately it is the only thing available to use. Be prepared to have to do a restart on your phone after each use to close it properly.

The app is 'lumpy' and doesn't do what an app is supposed to ie give quick and easy access. Finding what you need is not just a click away and until it is improved I will be continuing to do it the old fashioned way via the web site. Sorry Caravan Club but you really ought to be doing better.

Useless. Won't allow me to sign in and fails to download. Doesn't show all sites in an area. A real shame as it could be a useful asset. Shall continue to use the book.

The previous app worked far better. Its layout was more user friendly and showed all pitch vacancies at a glance. Not impressed at all with this app and will go online in the "normal way" in future to book sites.

I can't even download it. Makes CC look very amateurish. Wait until you have an app that is fully functional before bombarding members with emails exhorting them to download it.

Found this disappointing and had to revert to the book for the type of search I do. When I look for a site I want to know the size in acres (I use CL's and whether there are views - both these bits of information are missing. I also found the zooming on the map was clunky and would only go down to a certain level - again I would like more detail and ideally look at the satellite image. Not sure how much I would use this given the limitations, but probably better than nothing!

This app is very poor, says download failed but still opens, there is missing elements in search menu, it doesn't give an option to search the type of site either club or cl, works needs some tweaking. Thanks for response but why not have it on search page as well, download failed issue any explanation, they stay on screen until you re boot phone. Update, how about installing an issue reporting facility on app, I've reinstalled, now you go to map details & it shows America, useless.

I love the app. But it has the annoying habit of telling me that updates have failed. Today it is trying to load additional information, unfortunately without success and locking me out.

Downloaded this app in view to use out and about but overlapping of advertising on pages and on club together replys in discussions make it impossible to read them on tablet and android phone please fix this also the app does not respond to rotate when activated so always on narrow screen again this needs a fix.
