คณะวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏสวนดุสิต เห็นความสำคัญของการได้สนองพระราชดำริในโครงการอนุรักษ์พันธุกรรมพืชอันเนื่องมาจากพระราชดำริสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี จึงได้จัดโครงการสร้างจิตสำนึกในการอนุรักษ์พันธุกรรมพืชและรวบรวมฐานข้อมูลเป็นเอกสารเพื่อเผยแพร่ทั้งในแบบรูปเล่มและแบบดิจิตอล และ application ของไม้ป่าที่ให้ดอกสีม่วงและสามารถนำไปใช้ในการเป็นพืชสมุนไพรและอาหารได้ Science and Technology High School Seeing the importance of the initiative to Plant Genetic Conservation Project under the initiative of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
