IPSS CE

De IPSS CE app is de eerste en enige digitale IPSS scorelijst met een CE-keurmerk. Deze app biedt zorgverleners en patiënten hulp bij de diagnose en follow-up van aandoeningen van de prostaat, blaas en/of urinewegen. De app is gebaseerd op de internationaal gevalideerde International Prostate Symptom Score vragenlijst en biedt een volledige en objectieve beschrijving van urologische symptomen.

Op basis van de antwoorden op 8 simpele vragen genereert de IPSS CE app een aantal informatieve infographics, die de ernst en oorzaak van aandoeningen aan de urinewegen inzichtelijk maken (zoals een onderscheid in obstructieve of irritatieve klachten). Daarnaast houdt de app bij in hoeverre deze symptomen invloed hebben op de Quality-of-Life van de patiënt.

Door het bijhouden van meerdere IPSS-scores over de tijd geeft de app grafisch inzicht in de evolutie van dergelijke symptomen en het effect van eventuele behandelingen. De NHG standaard "Mictieklachten bij mannen" (M42, maart 2013) adviseert het routinematig gebruik van de IPSS lijst. De inzet van de IPSS CE app maakt het mogelijk dit advies laagdrempelig te implementeren in de dagelijkse huisartsenpraktijk.
