This seems a seriously under rated app. It's a necessity to me and I've used it for years. I really hope the development is still active. Even though it's not had an update for ages it works flawlessly. Never let's me down backing up to my Synology each time I get to my wireless range.

Been using the alpha version for months very happily. Great app. Disappointed that the purchased version didn't take its settings from the already installed alpha version and I have to set it up all over again. That annoyance is the only reason it didn't get 5 stars.

Updating my review I originally left nearly 5 years ago(!) to say I still love this app. Even though cloud backup of media files is all but standard these days, this is a great option if you want an additional local backup or simply don't want your photos and videos anywhere outside of your home or office network. Truly a "set it and forget it" solution.

Q70%
by Q####:

Be aware that this uses SMBv1 to talk to a server, so if (like me) the app was working beautifully and then suddenly stopped with bizarre network errors, it probably because your server no longer accepts v1 protocol, which is horribly insecure anyway. If Sweet Home ever gets updated to use v2 or v3, I'll switch back in an instant, but I'm not running SMBv1 just for this app.

Can't say enough good things. It does exactly what you want it to do reliably and without any added complications.

Perfect. Has yet to give me an issue. Doesn't NAG and is the only app I found that can do this so flawlessly. Definitely worth a donation.

You don't have to rely on Google to keep your photos. Google does a great job, but this app does a great job at keeping your photos on your local network, be a NAS or a networked computer. This the only app I have ever paid money for. 5 Stars!

X70%
by X####:

MUST HAVE APP! The is the only app I've found that automatically backs up all of your pictures and videos to your computer or NAS drive. Set it to do it as soon as you walk in the house when your phone connects to your WiFi, or when you charge your phone. It will always back up your new pics and videos every day. No need to remember. And, all are in FULL RESOLUTION unlike many cloud backups. A+!

Seriously, I have been using this for the last year or so and I absolutely love it. No need for Google to keep all my photos. This backs up everything to my home server then cleans up my phone. Thank you dev!

After experimenting with the free Alpha version to upload to our NAS, we decided the stable version was absolutely worth it. Fast, configurable, and well supported! The only thing I could wish for would be for the app to remember what it's already uploaded. Currently if you delete an image from the NAS, the app just uploads it again. There are good reasons for that to be the default, but more control would be nice.

by X####:

Accessing the network drive might be tricky at first if you haven't set it up before (windows makes this complicated too). After that this is an app that you can forget about and trust to do its job. Huawei P9 users should allow this app to work in the background.

Does not automatically upload. We want to use this in an office environment , where we are always connected. In this case the pictures do not upload automatically, we have to manually upload. Can this be fixed?

Q70%
by Q####:

Keeps saying file access error. Nothings changed. Perhaps a windows 10 update. Any Ideas?

X70%
by X####:

Seems broken now. Does not reliably transfer my pictures. You guys gonna fix it? I will update review accordingly!

X70%

This is such a great idea and works perfectly about 70% of the time. The rest of the time it doesn't upload automatically and I have to do it manually.

This is a one of a kind picture backup app. It enables you to back things up to your local network storage at home. Could not find anything like it anywhere!

X70%
by X####:

I never have to worry about my pictures getting lost. AND they are saved to my NAS, not the cloud!

X70%
by X####:

I've said this once before, but after more than a year this app continues to be reliable and the best I've found for local backups to a network share over WiFi. Once setup, it runs automatic as soon as I get home. If I could rate it 6 out of 5 I would! I only wish the developer was updating it still.

I paid for this app but don't know which one is paid, one asking donate another sends me Google store to buy.

I use this app to send all my pictures and videos to my LAN NAS. Works as described. I donated! This app should be supported!

X70%

I use this to automatically copy pictures from my phone to local NAS for storage. Works great and has plenty of options to configure.

B70%
by B####:

This type of functionality should be built into the system. It is so important especially with the limited storage and high resolution video. My 16GB phone fills up fast, this helps keep it managed. It isn't completely reliable, in that sometimes the transfer doesn't seem to complete, and I have to restart. However, it is the best I've found with the auto-organization and auto-delete.

The app does not find my computer or my network drive. As soon i receive an answer from tech support I will give 5 stars

Best App for auto photo / video upload to home PC or NAS

The UI isn't the prettiest, but it's functional and everything it needs to be. I often forget in have this app installed and backing up all photos and videos to my NAS. Have never had an issue with, it just works. Well developed in that if you change your desired upload location, it doesn't make copies of all your files, it checks to see if you already have copies there before blindly placing your photos there. Thanks to the dev(s)!

Had to manually start upload and app was frozen after upload had completed.. had no problems with free version. Would be perfect if phone settings and app data was included in backup options so complete phone backup was an option.

Works great with my Qnap RAID NAS!

This used to be a five star app for me on my Galaxy S5. I would get up to 4MB upload speeds on that phone. On the LG G3, I'll have around 200-300KB and then the uploads eventually fail. I've tried three different G3's and all had the same issue. Hopefully, there will be an update out to fix this.

I did donate but didn't setup this prog. And subj is annoying.

D70%

Not working, not connected to home WiFi network.

D70%

This app does exactly what the other backups don't... Allows the user with some network knowledge to have a quick backup tool. Why can't the NAS companies purchase this to use this as their app? Works perfectly and saves space on my phone and is lightweight. I had to donate... The app is that good!

I love this app. I take photos from several cameras and this lets me put the ones from my phone in the same place. It's not working on my Nexus 6P now. Guessing it's an Android 6 issue. Hope this gets fixed. Have to uploading manually.

F70%

This is by far the best local backup option available. Backing up lower resolution copies of videos and pictures on free cloud services is convenient but you definitely want the original full quality backup. This does it automatically when I get home and organizes them just as well as I would if I manually did it myself.

I was looking for a solution similar to what this app does. I tried it. I like what I see! I have delete option in place to free up space on my phone and sd card. However, the app does not appear to delete from the sd card. I have sent a support email from the app and have seen no response. If I could get this working and for support to respond I would change my rating to a 5. Hopefully a solution will come soon.
