SureBlood

India has a shortfall of 1 million litres of blood every year. To tackle this shortfall of blood, we created SureBlood, which helps connect people who require blood (Requesters) with those who are willing to donate and are of a suitable blood group (donors). It has a map interface allowing you to both find donors and to donate blood. Our mission is to ensure that the need for blood in every place and every situation is met. Our vision is to nurture a blood donation culture in society.
How to use the application:
When you or someone you know is in need of blood:
1. Enter the application, go to your location using GPS or the search bar, select the blood group of the person in need,
2. Click on the request button, enter the details, and send out requests.
3. You can check the requests that you made in the “my requests” tab on the menu. When you click on it, you can see responses from donors.
4. Once you get responses from donors, you can contact them using their phone number.
5. Once they come to the hospital or blood bank and donate blood, you can send them a personal letter thanking them for their invaluable contribution through the “my requests” => click on the donor => write a personal message => “say thanks”.
When you would like to donate blood:
1. Enter the application, go to your location using GPS or the search bar, select your blood group,
2. Click on the donate tab, select the distance in which you would like to see the requests, click on donate.
3. You can now see everyone who requires blood, and later you can see all the blood donation drives and camps, in the search radius.
4. You can click on the requests and accept the request. Your information will be shared with the people who have requested for blood, and they will contact you for further details.
