About FractGeo

This is a fractal generator.

Features:
- calculates mandelbrot and julia sets
- calculates newton fractal
- colorize the fractal with different color maps
- set fractal image as wallpaper
- create full size wallpapers
- calculates low resolution preview images
- uses Android NDK for speed optimizations

- no ads

Touch the interesting area to zoom-in and use back key to zoom out.
Use the buttons on the right side to switch between the zoom, move and set function.
The 'set' function is used for setting the constant for julia sets (This button is only visible if julia set is chosen as fractal).

Processors with floating point extensions are recommended because of heavy use of floating point operations. For double width mode a large amount of memory is needed.

Minimum version to run:
Android 1.6

Images can be saved to sdcard (sdcard/FractGeo/Images).

Tested on:
- Galaxy S

Great app. Handy to have Julia co-ords displayed. Great for quick search of fractal set's. I use a different app to render finished 6000*4200 pixle PNG pictures.

Okay needs work lest for my phones OS. 6.0. Where's the menu? Only the controls work or 3 buttons on the right side of the screen.???

this calculates fractals, and has some interesting ideas (the palette editor, once you figure it out) ... but lacks many essential features, and contains red herrings aplenty ... wtf are the on-screen controls? and why does the colour fade as i zoom in? did you publish it to get feedback? you should say so, or we won't come back.

Loving the awesome output images! I wish it has more pattern to offer though.

Very nice app

So cool that this program has dynamic maximum iterations! One thing I can't figure out though: as I zoom deeper, the colours become so washed out that I can't see a thing. Am I missing a setting? Normally this is the opposite; is there an overcorrection at work here? See for example fractoid's absolute and relative colour modes.

Quickly becoming my favourite over Fractoid, but would suggest; - being able to save your co-ordinates so you can easily pick up where you left off. - being able to choose your iterations. Very handy for post-processing pictures. - being able to change the algorithm for variations on-the-fly. Probably my most used feature in Fractoid. Any of these changes and I'd happily spend $10+ for a full featured program.

This is a nice, solid, fractal app - it adjusts max iters for you, and has a nice Mandelbrot - to - Julia map mode. I hope the author will keep improving it - a smooth zoomin with continually adjusted iters and more coloring algorithms would be great - I'd happily pay a few bucks for the mature version of this app! There is an inexplicable dearth of this type of app for android, and also an amazing amount of potential!

Actual generator, not just a pixely picture with zoom

Best app ever ! Works so well on my HTC One XL that I bought a Google Nexus 7 just so I could use this app on a bigger screen !

I love the translucent floating buttons for zoom or scroll. Excellent. The menus are easy to use and clear. I would like some more harmonious colour schemes. Great app.
