About GPS NMEA Bluetooth transmitter

This App allows you to use your mobile phone GPS receiver to send information via Bluetooth to other hardware that might need it.

The App will also send Barometric pressure it you have a sensor fittied to you device (MDA,MMB) and it converts the pressure to a height measurement (in feet), and outputs on the PGRMZ message (this ability is still beta). The default sea level pressure value is 1013.25 mB, this can be manually changed in using the menu button, you can also use the internet to retrieve the local pressure (you need a location fix and internet connectivity). (this ability is also still beta)

currently is sends out the following NMEA 0183 sentences:

GLL
GGA
GSV
ZDA
RMC
VTG
MDA
MMB

PGRMZ - Available but currently under test to send converted pressure as altitude

Works with Microsoft MapPoint if used with PC Software GPSGate (http://gpsgate.com/products/gpsgate_client)

Lost my GPS receiver for my laptop, but had this working through GPS gate and onto GRlevel3 weather radar in about 5 minutes. Will be using it for the upcoming storm chase season, will come back if any issues come up!

Does exactly as it says on the tin. I was pulling nmea off phone and using it in a blue tooth enabled kobo touch ereader. Developer very helpful and open to suggestion for new features. He's actively working on introducing altitude data into nmea stream from barometer equipped device. Great stuff.

Installed on a Samsung S3 Mini (Android 4.2.2) On a Bluetooth-enabled Windows 7 laptop, I built a Microsoft Access form that opens a COM port (4800 baud worked), then pulls the NMEA data from the phone. I simply parsed out the coordinates, elevation, and # of satellites into a form, using VBA and standard API calls (no special controls needed). Developer was very responsive to my questions.

Program does what is stated. I downloaded this application in a pinch when the on board GPS went down on our highway survey vehicle. Connected easily, decent signal, no bugs.
