Hebrew Interlinear Bible for Android
Yahweh is not translated as lord or god it is transliterated in english as jehovah. Deleting gods name jehovah and replacing it with lord or god makes this a very inaccurate translation. Only a few verses like in psalms 83:18 you correctly translate it as jehovah. Jehovah in Hebrew as yahweh is in the hebrew scriptures almost 7000 times more than any other name combined
All bibles do but the stones, i need vowel markers qbible on line is best but, need this, for the image. Well this is not so busy i mean so much going on my mind wonders lol im add and adhd lol
I found what I was looking for. There was translation errors in what the app had and in the apps version of Strong's concordance with what is actually in the Strong's concordance but 70% isn't all that bad when some other options aren't as good as this. It's always good to have multiple study tools. Is there an Apple iOS version of this?
Some translated words still seem to follow "accepted" erroneous translations, but most are better than any other version I've found so far. Ability to cut+paste the עברית text would be a major help!
I'd like for there to be more information regarding the grammar of each word like in the Greek version. That would make it an outstanding app in my opinion. What say you developer? Possibility?
I can't understand this transliteration, I can only read the parts I have already memorized.Bereshit bara elohym et hashamaym ve et ha arets veha arets hayeta tohu vavohu vekhoshekh hal pney tehom(in a format similar to this) please fix it.
I have just got this tonight, and it is what I was looking for, it has drop down menu to find the chapter/verse needed, the Hebrew, the translation, and pronunciation and part of speech. This is what I am using to cross reference my studies, I know supposedly any translation is correct when you pray for understanding...so they say, but I find infinite more value in reading the original words, there is a beauty and poetry to it lost in translation. I do have some prior hebrew studies, but if you don't know hebrew, just try to learn the alphabet, this gives pronunciation after all, and go from there. Thank you to the developer of this, he has a Greek one also available.
This app has been quite helpful in resolving several very pernicious theological questions, for me. Very useful. Many sincere thanks!
If you're Christian, pls include the apocryphal books. Akiba eliminated them in Jabne in the year 90A.D. because he wanted to disarm the Jews converted to Christianity who always quoted the apocryphal to support the belief in the resurrection.
Psalm 22:16 in the Hebrew uses the word ca-ari (like a lion) but this translation in English translates it wrong. Not Jewish compatible.
To which translation is this interlinear bible referring? I only enquire on account of a few errors upon which I have picked up.
Worst app, you did a mistake in this app. In English U wrote the name of the creator worng . You translated as the Lord in the place of Yahweh
One, only one annoying thing about this app is the way it defaults back to Gen. 1:1... PLEASE, allow to default back to last text viewed, like other apps.
LOVE IT! BEST WAY TO UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE!
Keyed to Strong's concordance so each word's reference number can be verified there and with my Vine's expository dictionary!?! Understand scripture the same as scholars fluent in the original languages! Translation accuracy is instantly verifiable! 5 super well deserved stars!
I like the pronunciation of hebrew, example Elohim - God, but why it means Gods ( plural ) in hebrew but its singular term is eloha. The bible must be written God as Eloha if God is one so does it mean God is not just one.
The only thing I would like to see is for it to remember where I was last time instead of always jumping to Gen 1:1
So grateful for the app. God bless everybody involved in making this app with more than they can dream of :)
Thanks so much for offering this fantastic study tool. May the Lord bless you and your ministry for him!
like it alot!! its been awhile since ive practice my hebrew tho!!!
Thank you so much for making this. I love it. You can definitely improve it by making it easier to navigate through chapters, but this type of translation is just what I was looking for.
I am a biblical Hebrew college student, and this app has helped me understand Hebrew better than my professor and the my book combined. Kudos to the developers!!
Glad I have it. Note that you can go to the next verse by swapping over the screen.
It's extremely annoying to have to reclick on the number (Strongs reference) every 2-3 seconds or so when one wishes to read the definition of any given word. Please make it so that one can change the display time in the settings, or so that you can hold your finger on the bubble to keep it there or something...
Please fix english transliteration option to be as on and off. Because it easily goes off
This is a great tool that proves that the Divine Name was not removed from the text, like English Bible translators have done.
The only thing I have is I am not given enough time to read the strong's definitions before the pop up menu disappears. Perhaps you can give readers the option to close the pop up menu when they are finished reading it. Other than that, looks like what I need. I am trying to do deeper levels of study and also a variety of ways to study, so this helps a lot. Thanks
Super to copy, study, compare, & refer to. Very handy being quicker to open and navigate. The format has a simple style making it easy to distinguish Hebrew characters. I would like to see future updates allow for tapped-for Strong's notes to not fade away so quickly but to remain until "close" is chosen, for ex. Also, Nahum 3:19 is missing. I showed this app to a mac-using Hebrew scholar who loved it and, talking with him a few days later, found he was disappointed it wasn't available in a mac version.
At first I liked it but then saw significant mistakes. Ps. 121:3 "He will allow to be moved your foot, will slumber he who keeps you..." Of course "not" is missing. Same in other places which puts the translation in serious doubt and danger of misleading. Better to do without than read such contaminated work. I highly appreciate the work of the author but in these spiritual works these kind of mistakes are risky and the author takes serious responsibility on himself.
As of Marshmallow 6.0.1 (api level 24). At least on Note 7; haven't verified on other hardware yet.
Although the hebrew text appears to be fine, transliteration is in a nonexistent dialect and sometimes missing or adding syllables. Some words are mistranslated. These observances are from reading Ps 1-8
My only complaint is that the strongs number closes on its own after only a couple seconds. Which means to read a long translation one has to keep opening it. It would be helpful if it stayed open until the user closed it.
I can't understand this transliteration, I can only read the parts I have already memorized.Bereshit bara elohym et hashamaym ve et ha arets veha arets hayeta tohu vavohu vekhoshekh hal pney tehom(in a format similar to this) please fix it.
Thank you very much for having made this helpful app. The transliteration is not always correct but this can be solved by reading the Hebrew text only and using the English for reference. Happy about this app.
I am unable to go in to the settings & make adjustments without it crashing every time. There is no way for me to do a search for a bible passage without first crashing it. There is no way for me to access the options menu without the system crashing.
I love being able to look up any Old Testament Scripture and see what it really said in Hebrew, and have the Strong ' s numbers right there, the only drawback is they do not go in depth with the Strong ' s. However, you are supposed to be a student and study.
I would give it 5 stars if i could go into settings; however the app crashes every time i try. Otherwise, it's perfect - mainly become of no ads.
Exactly what I was looking for! Using Tanakh to learn the Hebrew language with English letter word translations for pronunciation. While I am learning the Aleph-Bet, I can learn the Hebrew pronunciation and usage of the letters, greatly aiding my learning experience. I now need this in paper form!
And Please Update New Testament Also.

I'm giving you 5 stars because this is most true to the original Hebrew wording I have found. I think a lot of people are confused with translations of ancient texts when there is a modern language in use. They forget that Ancient Hebrew is not modern Hebrew. Also, no one should be changing names, as written, to appease anyone. Great job!
