Proximity Service

Super practical, but I wish there were a (configurable?) slight delay before shutting off screen. It's frustrating when I move my thumb up to swipe down from the top of the screen and the screen momentarily shuts off instead.

Finally this app solved my problem of battery life. I have set my display timeout to 30 minutes. Don't have to keep turning the display on repeatedly while watching video clips. Does flawless job of turning the display on or off without killing the applications. Battery life has improved by more than 50℅.

I love it! But I'm left-handed so every time I swipe, the screen goes blank for a bit. It would be a 6-star app if you added a delay.

It's kind of unusable because it's so sensitive. If you could just add a settings page that gives you a slider for screen on delay and screen off, I would be satisfied. For me it would be a half second before it turns on, and two or three to turn off. It's just too sensitive to be usable right now.

The only app of its kind that actually works. Only two things would make it perfect: optional delay for screen on/off and Tasker integration.

Really useful to prevent attend/reject calls accidentally when phone is in pocket. Only annoying thing is the constant notification. Would be great if an option is provided to disable the notification.

app is perfect but still i would like to ask developers if they could help me. i own huawei p8 lite (ofc downloaded your app bcs pokemongo xD), but i have problem that pogo is set to always work even when i lock screen but that didnt work so i downloaded proximity service and it stops them too, i dont know why, in my fiancee phone everything works fine, proximity service blakcs tha screen and apps are running behind, not on mine. could you help?

This is exactly what I was looking for. The app just does what it says: turning the screen off on proximity sensor kick and back on when it's nothing there anymore near the sensor. Great for saving battery life and preventing GUI elements from touching if not needed. No ads, no other catches, wonderful no-interface design (it's basically just a service with a notification banner), no special requirements, no root needed, no any other software conflicts (from Youtube to Zello), no hardware keys lock. TY!

Does exactly what it says. While the app is active, blocking the proximity sensor turns off the screen and keeps the phone awake. Great if you have an app you want active and foregrounded at all times.

My phone's proximity sensor stopped working correctly after a system update and this app fixed everything! Good job guys.

..would be great if they had a feature where it automatically starts when phone boots up. Often times I restart my phone and then I forget to turn on this app.

Would like the option to disable or move the notification to the bottom section like lastpass etc. Great app more control would be nice extra.

Fantasticly straight forward, accidental activations don't happen on the s8+ as you have to really go out of your way to get your finger there, would be awesome if it could enable/ disable itself when I open / close pokemongo

Works. After trying more than ten apps, this is only one which works. Solved my problem in brand new Moto E4 Plus when hardware test for proximity sensor failed & i was about to return the device! Now i can make & receive calls normally without screen off. Thanks

Aplicacion super sencilla, no hay que configurar nada, funciona exactamente como dice, al tapar el sensor de proximidad la pantalla se apaga.

How to disable it once app is opened?? Because I have installed it 4 times and I can't do it any longer....... But really love the app

Does exactly what I wanted it to do. An idea if possible...maybe have settings to inverse it? Screen off if sensor not covered(if possible of course)? Either way, works as advertised.

Light, with no un needed permissions. I use it to keep Pokemon go running while in my pocket.

Nice, try many other app, but all require running the app in background, this just simple and nice, and the best without running anything. It would be 5 stars if it always work without keeping initiate the app

It's just the device locks itself when the screen turns off(using a third party lock screen) . But its great

It would be really useful if there is a slight delay before the screen switches off. It keeps switching off even when my fingers are over the sensor for just an instant.

This is the best app for flip cover auto locking and unlocking screen and the only app in this category that actually works! The rest which claim to work are all bs

Great app, makes egg hatching on PoGO an easy task ;) However, it would be great of there was a nougat quick setting tile for this.

Practically not what I'm searching for. Phone will not locked while turned off by this app. Hopefully there will be an option for this.

There should be more settings. Like delay.

Easily turn on and offable. Although it would be even easier if it could be on the pull down settings.

If here would be a screen locker so would be better . Because it only turns off does not lock.

I agree with other comments suggesting a sensitivity option.

Is there a way you can lock screen and unlock with fingerprint scanner, this app would be amazing if the proximity senor locked the phone, and to unlock you can still use the finger print scanner. Is there a way I can do this, or is there a future update??
