Spoken Music Player

Spoken Music Player allows for complete control of the music on your phone or Spotify Premium account through voice controls. Simply touch the main button and speak to perform your search or issue a command. Searching for songs, artists, and albums is supported in these two modes.

Commands can be given or new music can be searched for and played without unlocking your device. Headphone button support allows voice controlled search, playback, and commands without turning your phone's screen on.

Additionally, YouTube mode will open the YouTube app to play the requested song or video.



Voice Control Commands:

-Simple commands such as "Pause","Resume","Fast Forward", "Rewind", and various synonyms are supported.

-Enable or disable shuffle mode with "shuffle on" or "shuffle off". This will shuffle through all your songs in phone mode or the current playlist in Spotify mode.

-The default search mode will be used for music search and playback. The default search mode can be changed with "Phone mode", Spotify mode", or "YouTube mode" in addition to the corresponding buttons.

-It is possible to search in a non-default modes by saying "phone ", "Spotify ", or "YouTube song/artist/album" from any mode.

-More advanced searches, such as " by " or " " are supported.



Headphone button support:

-If you have headphones with a microphone button, you can click it once to pause/play, or twice in rapid succession (~0.75 seconds) to perform a new music search or command.



Important notes:

-Internet is required to process user speech.

-Unfortunately, a Premium account is required to stream Spotify music. This requirement is set by Spotify and cannot be changed by me. Phone and YouTube modes will still work though.

-Google disallows YouTube videos from being fully controlled outside of the YouTube app, which is why those searches are launched in using your phone's YouTube app.
