Compression Calculator is a very detailed and accurate compression ratio calculator. It will also calculate the effective compression ratio based on boost and altitude, quench distance, and total engine displacement for you. You will have to know a lot about the parts you are using in your engine, but you will get the most accurate answer. Supports both metric and standard measurements as input. Get the license for the pro version and you can save and load as many of your own custom configurations as you like without having to enter all the parameters again and again.

Piston count, altitude, and boost have nothing to do with a compression ratio. Rod length is pointless information, as your stroke is what is measured.. Also, the only engine that seems to work is the one on the apps default settings....

Great app when building an engine from several different engines. Easily matched the correct rods and pistons for my head swap.

You don't need altitude, rod length or any of that deal.. You need bore, stroke, piston cc, gasket size, and deck clearance. That's it. They have better free sites on the web.

If you want to build engines like a pro, you need this tool. It lets you pick the right components, and the right machining, so the finished product is exactly what you want. Exactly!

Awesome, threw me a bit when I automatically put negative value for dished pistons as that's how they normally are. Static comp of 18:1 dropped to the expected 9:1 when I read your definitions. :-) For those that think it requires too much info, I disagree if your working out different rod stroke ratios and mixing/matching to available pistons to suit then you need the extra values.

Sure some of the data needed may not be needed but works fine regardless. Might need a freshened up UI but otherwise very happy with this app.
