Baristame - Coffee Guide FREE

Under the espresso tab, it says that a single shot requires 18g of ground coffee, while most other sources on the web (simple Google search) would say that 18g makes a double shot. Fantastic app though, I will be using this to improve my personal coffee experience!

Didn't see the Domincan Republic in the list of countries that produce coffee. You have to improve that "learn" section.

Baristame is great for those forgetful coffee lovers like me. If I need to know how much milk, half and half, or flavor syrup to add this app is there. It is easy to find coffee drinks I want to try. Highly recommended!

This app is fine for beginners. It's info is correct and the layout is nice. However it's missing a lot of things that would make it more comprehensive. For example the drink list is missing quite a few titles. And the list of coffees is missing far to much to be helpful. My conclusion: to simple for a true Barista.

I love the drink list and the design of this app. Starting as a barista the thing I want to see is the pronunciation of the drinks below the word either in the catalog or when you click on the drink

Not something you use every day, but super handy when you need it. Great design, easy to navigate. Too bad there's no iPhone version.

Very detailed and informative explanations of coffee and espresso drinks the way informed and enthused consumers and producers would have them made. For instance, the ratio for a Cappuccino is equal parts espresso, steamed milk, and foam. However Starbucks would have you drink 10% espresso, 45% milk and 45% foam--a subtle difference! My favorite is the exact instructions down to the gram and ounce for brewing French Press coffee--and any other method, for that matter. It's fun to bring beans home from fancy pretentious places and brew a cup just right for myself. I'd give it 5 stars except some of the grammar and syntax seems a bit wonky and the fit and finish isn't perfect.

I started brewing good coffee after getting some new toys (aeropress, espresso machine, and drip coffee maker) for Christmas. After initially learning how to use each this has been a great tool to use. The coffee/water ratio calculators and timers are what I use the most. It's also nice to see multiple recipes for my espresso machine all in one place.

Have to launch it 2 times in a row for it to work.

This app has all the recipes a home Barista would need. Including many espresso and brewed coffee methods. The app has an interactive brewing feature, where it walks you step by step through the preparation of your brewed coffee. Love it.

The app si beautiful and I just cannot give you 4 stars only because the lack of tutorials. I have espresso machine and the way drinks are presented and explained is really nice and straight forward but it would be a huge step forward for the app if you include some tutorials on how to properly microfoam or steam milk, how to pour etc. I know there are videos on the internet but it would make the app really complete IMO

I need a great cup of coffee no matter what. This is a great reference for any kind of brewing. Great for fellow coffee snobs or people who are new to it.

This app has good base information, but I would like to see the level of detail improve particularly by adding in some Espresso set up techniques in the brew section and also more detailed taste profile descriptions in the country descriptions. Good app that will hopefully add more detail over time with updates.

This app gives a brief overview of both the coffee bean and roasting process as well as a look at some modern brew methods. The descriptions of what the drinks are is awesome too because I can never keep them straight.

If you want to make great coffee at home while adjusting the taste to your palate it's a marvellous and high quality app that is throughly thought well.

Learn section, its far from complete in my opinion. Calculator works just fine, and I mainly just use this app for calculating my ratio. And maybe you can add a small note there, informing that generally 1gr of water is equal to 1ml of water.

Been trying my hand at the Barista scene for a while now and I've found this to be a very simple and effective go to tool for getting nice measurements and quick tips on basic brewing types. Will recommend to many friends.

Useful for when I enter coffee shops that haven't had their baristas trained in these methods...I show them, they attempt it, everyone's a winner!...

I love drinking coffee and I never know what to expect when I order something different.. Now I know exactly what a drink is supposed to be and how it's made. Pretty good when you wanna explore drinks.. Also lots of info about the process of coffee making and a cool ratio calculator to help brew a certain drink correctly in whatever quantity.. Awesome app thanks.

Gives clean and clear information with step by step instructions. Perfect for beginning and new baristas. Material design is also well done. Ads are not intrusive.

However I am running into an issue with the water conversion from grams/cups to fluid ounces. The number displayed is correct for grams and cups but incorrect for fluid oz. Other than that the app is great! If there were a coffee cup log with a notes section for bean type/grind setting/taste for each cup that you made it would be really cool!

Could be more descriptive.. Gives basics about drinks but lacks depth. No issues with program running though.

Good app if you are a starter Batista and need to learn the basics. Great illustrations and info on coffee and cafés. Its free so, 5 stars for the great quality for price.

Nice beginners guide to brewing coffee. I'm not an espresso connoisseur (purely brewed coffee for me), but the brew guides were enjoyable and informative. A little on the simple side, but it looks like a great place to start and add more features!

The app is very well informed, structured, clean, and visually appealing. Love it! It has coffee culture written all over it. :-)

This is solid! The other apps I've used just use generic directions. This one actually gives you the real way to use these products and methods in the best way possible. Also, the instructions are intuitive and truly step-by-step, excellent for the beginner barista to even a seasoned one.

If all steps can be timer based like Apple Aeropress app it will be awesome.

Very informative. I like the ratio meter for determining the coffee to water ratio when using my french press.
