About Soil Stress Increment
The app is based on the Westergaard's formula for the stresses under the corner of a rectangle which is uniformly loaded. Behind the scenes the calculator uses the Fadum's chart to determine the influence factors and computes the vertical stress below a uniformly loaded rectangular area (Boussinesq solution).
Use this cool android calculator for estimating stresses below a uniformly loaded rectangular area. This android calculator is easy to use and can be a handy tool for quick geotechnical calculations - it helps to efficiently understand the vertical stress distribution, including pressure bulb.
You can choose from a variety of seven different arrangements for the estimation of the vertical stress increment. These arrangements include calculation of vertical (Boussinesq) stress under the rectangular area for a point which maybe located within the loaded area or outside of the loaded area.
