Not properly handling connections to SSHD where AuthenticationMethods is used. I.e.: If you have this: AuthenticationMethods publickey, password Once you try to authenticate with publickey it says failed and asks for a password. You are still able to log in after eneting the passwd, it just says that auth. failed, instead of 'partial authentication' or 'further authentication needed'. In a different scenario using AuthenticationMethods again, I couldn't log in at all. Once this is added it would go directly to 5 stars.

Closes as soon as I leave app. :( Doesn't keep running in background. Possible conflict because connectbot installed too? Please fix it's instant closure and I'll increase star rating. Like easy ability to resize screen. Functions seem to work good.

X70%
by X####:

I was using it some times before, but now is the app nearly 5 yrs abandoned by dev. Moving to another better ssh client app and giving this historical artefact 2stars.

X70%
by X####:

worked great until the nougat update, now I have text/screen scrolling issues, text dissappearing/being overwritten when the keyboard is opened/closed, also force closures and general misbehavior if I switch to another app and back. also when editing files with nano text positions are being changed, the letters at the start of a line of text seemingly deleted, in which they are removed from view but if I close and open the file again they are still there. please fix this as this is my go to app when I'm on the move

by X####:

It quits without notice sometimes when put in the background. Also, it doesn't recognize key sizes of imported SSH keys, though the keys still work.

Q70%
by Q####:

Just a minor annoyance: won't make multiple connections to the same user@host target. It just brings the existing connection to the foreground.

Q70%
by Q####:

I had to enable "long press to get context menu" in the settings to see a menu where I could get a list of extra buttons in the middle of the console screen, including arrow buttons! That's a lot of work to get arrow keys that are not even on top of the keyboard. With any other SSH app including the original Connectbot, a single tap on the screen shows Ctrl, Alt and arrow buttons. Back to original ConnectBot. Such basic functionality is simply required.

X11 - couldn't figure it out. Keyboard was difficult.

Best free app for file transfers I've found, but desperately needs to be able to transfer directories. Also, a public key upload helper would be lovely. All in all, great app.

Q70%

Possibly lacks some fancy features but this simple SSH client always gets the job done when I need it. Easy to use. Maybe not for heavy SSH users with complex setups.

Q70%

But my question tot he Developer: How do you make money of this app? Am a bit suspicious of apps that handle passwords, which cost nothing *and* don't display adds, too.

O70%
by O####:

Very useful to me and easy to use. Just a couple of feature requests: being able to select multiple files in the file transfer dialogue and some kind of file transfer progress indicator, maybe across the top of the screen or something?

Y70%

I've been using this for years. Pretty good app. ESC & Cntl are inconvenient for someone who uses Emacs.

Loved this app Best ssh app I've used and has saved my a** quite a few times already! Just wish there were terminal font family and colour options. Still more than deserves 5 stars!

Lifesaver for emergencies. Some other clients require lollipop (why?!?!?)

APP says address is incorrect. Putting address in square bracket doesn't help

I would put this rating to help you notifying a problem: when i open a file with nano, the application crashes on Nexus 4

Combined with Linux Deploy and the Hacker's Keyboard, I can do everything!

Exactly what is needed. Fixes the shortcomings in connectbot and does nothing "strange", unlike some other juice clients... The ctrl-a on volume key is marvellous for screen/tmux sessions. thank you!

C70%

This app successfully extends the capabilities of the original ConnectBot while retaining all of the stability and power of its predecessor. As such, I recommend this over ConnectBot for the addition of features alone.

Your app is exactly what I needed, great app, keep up the good work. I have a question, can I set up a desktop shortcut of a online ssh command ? I'd like to be able to unmount a external drive from my router before I shut it down from its power button.

Better than ConnectBot. Beats the crap out of Juice.

Came from Connectbot where CTRL on bluetooth keyboards did not work. Nice to see that things here work great!

Fantastic. No ads. Everything you need. Plain and blazing fast.

A really good replacement for connectbot with functions that even the commercial counterparts do not support. Thank you.

A full featured SSH client with better input support than the original.

C70%
by C####:

Very configurable, supports lots of keyboards - my TF300T keyboard amongst others. Best client I've used for Android so far.

T70%
by T####:

Good, but despite having enabled 'persistent connections', it disconnects as soon as I try to switch to another app.

W70%
by W####:

The original connectbot could not handle my bluetooth keyboard - it was impossible to type the symbols above the numbers. Searching finds this is a long running problem with the program. Unlike the original, this version also lets you use pinch gestures to resize the fonts (instead of the volume keys). Much nicer. This _open_source_ fork gets gets 5 stars.

T70%
by T####:

This fork of connectbot works well, and as far as I can tell is the only Android SSH client that emulates an xterm well enough that ncurses applications work in it. This plus scp capability is a winning combination. It shows great promise. The only downside: I can't quite figure out what governs when it will and won't let me upload and download files. Adding a feature to automatically upload and install public keys would make it just about perfect.

N70%
by N####:

I switched from JuiceSSH as this supports SCP, but need MOSH support to switch for all uses.

T70%

Worked well to generate keys and open a password-free SSH connection, but wouldn't open a tunnel.

A70%
by A####:

Really solid. Odd SSH cert mechanics, which can be trying. Plus i can customize each connexion, which is great when running multiple sessions. Auto-reconnect would be marvellous. Fix that and the SSH oddities and you've got 5 stars!

This app works perfectly with ssh key only logins. Thanks
