PhotoCloud Frame Slideshow for Android
I got a new error from an Instagram account. It appears once in a while. I press back, then start the slideshow again and it will continue for a couple of days before the error appears again. Any ideas? sk.baka.photoframe.util.IOExceptionWithCause: sk.baka.photoframe.util.IOExceptionWithcause: Read error: ssl=0x536c8780: I/O error during system call, Connection reset by peer
App looks very promising, UI is nicely thought out. Taking images from an SMB share is very unreliable, though - after a while app shows a Java exception message for a timeout, either while crawling the folders or running the slideshow. Fortunately I have a device with a keyboard and a Home key to get control back - when the message is showing the screen does not respond to touch and would otherwise need a power off!
No chromecast feature
Just what I was looking for, well worth the cost. Does what I want the way I want it without any bloated features.
Finally the search is over. This is the best app for turning your tablet in a photoframe using your OneDrive stored photo's. There is even a screensaver/daydream function so that a slideshow will be started after xx seconds of not using the tablet/phone. Very convenient for people using a tablet for their domotica stuff (when not using it, it will display all your photo's) Furthermore the support from the developer is great!
Don't use this, why? Every few frames: PAY PAY PAY image. I found "Digital Photo Frame Slideshow" app for network slideshow. If it stays good, I'll but that pro version. I've bought over hundred pro apps here after testing free versions. This app wastes your time because the free version for trial is basically unusable. Worst pestering app I tried since 2010. Don't waste your time 20th slam app.
Exactly what I was looking for, excellent support too. All working fine now, after very fast updates.
the best: I tried pretty much every Slideframe (foto frame) app i could get my hands on. This one is the only one i found who : can fetch from Samba, Network share, private cloud, reads subfolders recursively, autostarts when on power, displays full folder and filename, shows metadata, has geolocation, back/forward, and actually works, stable. Some minor glitches still, but great responsiveness of developer. Thanks
It's good an easy to use. But I can't use it with Amazon cloud/ Amazon photos or Verizon cloud. I would love it if that were a feature in the future.
Perfect. Though it can do many things, it does the following for me exactly as I wanted- start on charge, specific folder on SD card, visible status bar :)
Best option I've come across yet, would be 5 stars if there was an option to not hide the status bar (I don't want to miss notifications just because I have my photos up), and a way to force a skip (i.e. I have display time set to 30 seconds, but can swipe to bypass a pic or something)
Best option out there. Tried many. I purchased to support the thoughtful, responsive dev.
Been looking for something that does what it says it does, like this app. Works well and fast load times for large folders with many jpgs. Tried others that had issues, maybe because they attempted to do too many things. Very good app for displaying photos.
Would be better if supported gif playback.
Great app so far! Just what I was looking for. Love the flexibility. It is allowing me to turn an old Nook Color into a decent digital photo frame. Working great with ownCloud. Would like to have scheduling options for dimming/blanking at night, but am very pleased. I'll definitely buy it to support the development.
Great app! I bought a cheap tablet ($80), and I stream photos from a samba share. Makes for a better photo frame than you could ever find
Connected to my Mega account and then displayed multiple messages telling me to buy the app. Useless app.
Can't link to mega account
Works well for Flikr and Dropbox. But gives an authorization error for Instagram. It appears the author needs to re-register the app to access instagram feeds. Do that and you get 5 stars
Tried a few others and this is the best. I'm only missing the ability to play videos on the slideshow, playing them via VLC would be awesome.
Seems nice. Only missing backwards (and forward) for when that old photo is show, but you didn't have time to stop the slide. Possibly also play videos.
Love to see dnlA & upnp support so I can access files from my computer
Since update can now see google drive photos ,great app
I just wanted to stream my photos to my TV. I tried lots of apps; some look ugly and do not work, some require to be rated (and do not work), some do not support ChromeCast... This one's a keeper: it is simple, reliable and does exactly what it says.
I have been searching for months to find an app to turn my tablet into a digital photo frame by showing photos from my server's folder share...and I finally found one that works! It is very easy to use and haven't found any issues with it.
Using it with a Lenovo Tab 3 I picked up at BestBuy for $70. Best photoframe solution ever!
No Google plus account, no way to create playlists of folders or different streams, no timer to set weekly schedule of Slideshow.
This App running on a tablet is better than most photo display dedicated machines. The ability to autostart when the charger is turned on makes it very simple to use.
Simple, quick and easy to set up. Does exactly what it claims to do; Chromecasting is reliable and easy to start. Thanks!
I set it up on an inexpensive tablet for my mom. I connect to a share on her laptop, so she can easily change the pictures herself. This app is very reliable at making the connection. The developer is very responsive. Recommended
No Google photos
This app works perfectly! The developer is very responsive to emails. The best slideshow app out there.
Developer responds to emails, made quick fix when app was new. Works perfect for what I wanted = can cast all of my photos from drop box to TV! Simple to use.
Simply works. The first app which actually chromecasts something to my tv. The local gallery browser should immediately show my photos though

Hi, I tried to email you, but your email address didn't work. I just paid $11 for this app as it looks great. However, when streaming photos through OneDrive, I get an exception error after it displays a number of photos correctly. This makes it unusable. I have submitted an issue on github. Thanks, Kris
