About Electric Cost Bill Calculator

When you get your electricity bill each month, you may not think a whole lot
about what goes into it. But in reality, every appliance or electronic device
adds a little something to your bill. By figuring out what the biggest energy
hogs are in your home, you can adjust your usage by unplugging or simply using
the device less. Every change you make should help whittle down your energy expenses.

Calculating the energy cost of an appliance or electronic device is fairly easy.
Most devices have a label that lists how many watts it uses, either on the device
or in the owner's manual. You will need to find this number to figure out how much
the appliance is costing you. You will also need to estimate how many hours a day
you use a particular appliance.

The term energy consumption here refers to the utilization of electrical energy or
power. It is the actual energy demand made on existing electricity supply.
The consumption of electric energy is measured in terms of watt-hour.
Electronic devices consume electric energy to generate desired output.
Electricity Cost Calculation for running various electrical appliances such as
Ac, cooler,
fan, lamp etc. can be calculated using this energy consumption calculator.

Nice! This is the kind of app I was looking for (so I don't have to make it myself). It does exactly what you need and includes a handy reference chart. One thing though, the chart says 300 watts for a computer which is on the high end. And 1,200 for a stereo. Even a home theatre system would rarely go above 500 watts. I have an electricity monitor so I can verify some of this myself.
