Sift Food Labels for Android
I've scanned in a bunch of different products around my house and none if it is in their database. And my pantry is not odd food products either. What foods are in the database?
Did you guys just stop updating? Nothing scan in.
Could use a way to install the app on multiple devices without rebuying the diets. Otherwise I love it
Great app! I love it. Does exactly what it is supposed to!
Loved it at first but now it hardly functions. My purchased diets don't show up anymore and it crashes constantly.
Won't scan. Have to type everything in. Clunky. Crashes.
Paid for diets but with the recent update I'm being asked to pay again. :(
i only used this a about 3 times so far..just with the free app and on a few things around the house...i love it so far...i am allergic to dairy and also lactose intolerant..found some lactic acid in something i drink and had been wondering why i was having some minor issues..i carry an epipen and cannot afford to take chances..i am also hypothyroid and trying to avoid soy...is there a price for all or do we have to purchase all separately if we wanted the other groups also..
Can you add Google sign In.
So far it's good, scanned a few things in the fridge for reference. Question though... I'm going to start the whole30, so I wasn't sure which diet I should buy? Would it be the whole food diet one? Or do I need a combo of the others? I feel silly for asking. TIA!
US consumers needs this very badly
Nice application, finally we got to know what we eat.
Overall great app! After using it for two months, I shared it with my sister and niece. I would like to make suggestion to the developers: please add a feature that would allow users to snap a photo of a food lable when a scanned bar code is not in the database for the purpose of aiding developers in adding that food and accurate information to the database. Also all the duplicate foods in the database with widely varying and often inaccurate data that have been added by users needs to be denoted as user added (something like an asterisk preceding the info) so other users know that the information is not as accurate as may be presumed. Thanks for the great tool!
Beautiful app. Hope the app keeps expanding there database because it's a life saver.
SUPER app for new years diet resolutions!
Not too long ago I wrote a review regarding issues with signing in because I don't have a Facebook account. They reached out to me through email and said the problem will be resolved soon without having the option to sign in with fb. I was so surprised...they're friggin amazing!!!!!!!! I 100% recommend using this app????. I can't wait to tell all my friends to use it.
Waste of time. More than half of my shopping trip was spent looking up barcodes elsewhere. Didnt recognize national brands.
Downloaded on my phone multiple times. Never has opened
It's so honest I like it
I just tried to send them an email "so I just paid for a gluten free diet and when I scan items nothing ever comes up it says it not in your database ...ummm milk, butter, cheese, peanut butter why would none of those things be in the database??? what a waste" and not only does nothing come up in the database but there's an "error" trying to send the msg...this app is a joke

Downloaded and installed. Chose use without facebook and the app closed. Tried to reopen app and it simply closed. I Uninstalled and reinstalled app and it does the same thing.
Before having a child I honestly paid very little attention to the ingredients in my food! When my son was born, I wanted to make more educated decisions about what we eat. This app has been a game changer. I love that sift will flag ingredients that are banned in other countries and linked to conditions such as attention deficit disorders. I've been scanning my son's food for months and not only has it helped me make better choices for him, but it has inspired me to make healthier choices for me as well!
Choose to continue without Facebook and all I get is a black screen for a few seconds and the app closes itself every time.
Simplifies food decisions and helps with healthier choices
Takes the guess work out of attempting to read through food labels. The free version is great but if you are feeling lazy you can also pay $0.99 for certain popular diets (paleo, sugar free, gluten, whole 30 etc) and it will automatically tell you if the scanned food meets requirment of each. Well worth the $ if you are going to use it alot. I also like the flagging of ingredients banned in other countries such as EU where the food regulations are stricter.
I love how this app will translate ingredients for me so I know what I'm putting in my body. Seeing sugars be defined as sugars has been the most helpful as I try to eat fairly sugar free. And flagging dangerous ingredients, WOW - and scary - to see what's in our food.

I scanned over 10 common items in my kitchen. Nothing was recognized in the database...moving on to other aps. It was a great idea. I wish you the best of luck
