About Slovenia Trails Hiking&Biking
Slovenia Trails is a new application for Slovenian hiking and biking trails. Application was developed in cooperation with company Monolit d.o.o. and association Hiking&biking GIZ. It is a great tool for everyone who like to discover new places and enjoy Slovenian beauties.
The guide includes over 300 hiking and biking trails and data about special destinations for hikers and bikers that are members of Slovenian Hiking and Biking association. The guide covers the entire Slovenian territory.
Trails include detailed information as trail length, duration, description of the trail, picture of the trail blaze, elevation data with elevation profile and interesting locations by the trail. Every trail is checked for availability for families and how many percentage of the trail goes through the forest, main roads and side roads.
Some features of the app:
- Display of routes on a detailed topographic map (Monolit maps, used in different GPS navigation devices),
- enabled search through specialised hikers and bikers friendly destinations,
- off line maps for easier and friendlier use of the application in the nature.

This app accompanied us on our 15km hike on the krn mountain. We left the map we bought in our backpack and just used the app! A nice overview of your progress and whereabouts. Together with my phones GPS it was very accurate in showing where to go. We took a shortcut and the app made us rejoin with the original route easily. 1 big point for improvement: i couldnt find any way to save a certain trail (offline). Mid-hike I had to restart my phone. Barely any mobile connection at 2km height = problems.

Just installed it on my new S5. I hit paths near me and its stuck at "Loading paths". Wifi on, location on... Whats the problem please? Does the same thing for "Loading POI..."... EDIT: It took 7 minutes on 100/10 connection... afraid to try it on mobile...

The app is nice but it's hard to get an overview of the hiking trails in a certain area. A similar approach as in the Slovakian hiking app (Trails Tatra Mountains) would be better.

Lovely app, great maps offline, nice design. I only miss more paths in certain area.
