Whisper — The World Around You

It was always a buggy, unreliable app with a bad messaging component, but the recent adverts are a real insult to the users. Footer ad which is always there, advert inserted in the feed occasionally and then the most worst and most obnoxious: FULL SCREEN UNINTERRUPTIBLE ADVERTS. It's hard to recommend this app to anyone.

The ad footer that is constantly there is absolutely ridiculous. It makes the screen look awkward and small. I could live with the random pop up ads but the footer is actually terrible, making the whole experience of this app impossible to enjoy. You've gone from people enjoying the app to becoming money hungry. It's unnecessary to have ads constantly underneath my screen.

Whisper used to be a great app. But with the previous update Devs have pushed the ads too far. Now there's a new footer ad banner that is always there and it now auto-scrolls to ads and it's very annoying when you're trying to read a whisper. Not to mention the new random pop up unskipable video ads that have been added. IT'S JUST TOO MUCH AND IS RUINING THE EXPERIENCE. I have nothing against ads, just keep it moderate. And don't take away from the experience.

Notifications for chat still​ haven't been fixed, and they refuse to fix the problem of not being able to turn off notifications for things I don't want. Too many ads have made the ap appear trashy. Used to love this app but I am done.

It's been a year, and I've emailed support multiple times about this, I still get no chat notifications at any time. Really annoyed. And now there's an even more annoying bottom banner ad. Lovely.

Whisper used to be a really great place, but the new ads are killing it. I understand that you've got to make money, but a fullscreen video ad is a step too far for a social app in my opinion. The banner ad is annoying but you can get used to it, and the inline ads are fine.

I love whisper but there are things that need yo be fixed like the fact i cannot turn of my location via the app i have to turn off all my location settings. Also the add bad at the bottom of the screeb gets in thr way of typing. I dont understand why someine would want to have a app bar that takes you away from the app your in. Its stupid. Other than that the app is OK

App used to be pretty good. But now it's absolutely riddled with ads and it's horrendous. These ads now also centre on the page when you scroll. Please turn down the amount of ads

Ads are horrendous now. Either give users an ad free option or just stop. Also cannot get notifications for anything outside the app. Shocking now!

Use to be such a great app and now its full of ads. Devs remove the ads or add an option to remove for 99 cents. So many apps have ads, this app doesnt need them!

Ads out of the wazoo. It's nothing but trash now uninstalled. Not recommended for anyone.

These forced video ads are cancer. I love how the devs are making a killing off this app but I can't even get notifications for chat. For anyone looking to get rid of the ads, download an earlier version of the app online.

They can take the time to add more adverts but we still can't have notifications for chat... Well done lads

Why do u not let me post anything and remove me from groups when i never even posted anything i shouldnt have. App is now unusable.

I like whisper but I can't stand the idiot males putting rude comments on my stats and people begging for sex that what I've with whisper

Great app. Helps me vent. For someone with BPD that's a massive help. Just wish the messaging side actually notified you of messages.

Great app. It's got an odd social group and pushy people. But still good!

It's not bad. Nothing to rave about. The reporting options need a bit of an update, but it's a good app overall.

I think this app is great, but I'd love to use the same profile on my phone and tablet.
